The stunning fourth. Tricky, strategic and exhilarating. Yet fatal on the left side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eight. Bold 3-par of 204. You’ll need a fine tee shot to keep the wolf at the door. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eleven. Solid tee-to-green test. Hitting and putting this green are the keys. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Thirteen: Wedging into a green pared down to essentials: a frontal bunker, a narrowing surface, then a big backside falloff. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Good course & good deal
Course is very well maintained. Nice variety of challenging holes.
Love it! An absolute gem!
What a course! Let me start by saying I got a hot deal for$13.40, what a steal. Tee time was 3pm but I wanted to see what the hype was about, so I took it at that price. This course is extremely well taken care of. Greens are green, fairways are beautiful in great shape. The course itself is very unique, no two holes are a like. Love the 12th, picturesque beautiful par 3. 18th is also phenomenal, overall a well above average course, would play there all the time for that price. Only 1 complaint........hit a killer drive on the 10th, only to have to wait on approach due to a groundskeeper showing up in the middle of my rehearsal on approach to water the green. Little annoying waiting over 5mins to hit my shot, but if that's what it takes to keep the greens the way they r then that's ok. Also, hole 11 green is in poor shape. It's in a shaded area and you see a lot of dead sports. Other than that, A+ course, loved every minute if it!
Very nice course, great value
I played this earlier this summer and thought it was a very nice course. It has a very nice layout and is sufficiently challenging with more water than you'll see on almost any course in Lancaster county. We played this one four around $20 with a Hot Deal tee time and it was a fantastic value. Off the beaten track a bit since it's in the middle of no where, but definitely worth the extra driving.
What a gem!
Pilgrim's Oak is an immaculate and challenging course. We enjoyed every aspect of this course and highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly. The pace of play was great as we finished in just under 3 1/2 hours. Thanks for a wonderful golfing experience!
Great course for price.
Fantastic tee shots and par threes. Joy to play. Not many on course during afternoon. Have course to yourself on weekdays.
Pilgrim's Oak provides challenging holes with the opportunity for great shots
The course was in great condition. The terrain offers various challenging shots with the opportunity to develop all aspects of your game. Great staff, equipment, and overall experience.
Other than the pace of play, it's a great course. They need to spread their tee times out and police the course better.

great
best Course Ive played.............................................................
Great course in excellant condition.
Local knowledge of layout is a definite plus, so pair up if its your first visit.
Best Public Course in Lancaster County
I have the most intense love-hate relationship with this course. I love the immaculately cut fairways and super fast greens. I just hate my inability to go without 3 putting on some of them. There is no other public course in Lancaster County that is as well maintained as this one. This is also one of the most challenging courses in the County. Well, Iron Valley might win out on that one, but you cannot beat this course for the price. My one ever so minor complaint is the lack of a cart path around the entirety of the course. Also, there are plenty of large coolers with bottled water being reasonably priced at 50 cents.
Terrible course management.
The course management scheduled a shotgun start outing for a Saturday morning, and then did absolutely nothing to manage the pace of play of that outing. Turned out to be an almost six hour round.
Sir,
I am the Director of Golf at Pilgrims Oak Golf Course and I can assure you that we did everything in our power to try to keep the pace of play up on Saturday. We had two rangers consistently monitoring groups and unfortunately there is little you can do when people are slow players. I apologize for the excessively long round of golf(although I doubt it was 6 hours) and hope that you will give Pilgrim's Oak another opportunity in the future. Thank you.
very nice layout
always in great shape, alot of undulation on greens. reqiures some thought while you work your way around the course. always a good value
Great deal on a good course
Great layout. Both nines challenging but very playable. Use every club in the bag. Front tees are great for beginners while back tees can challenger even the low handicappers.
Awesome course!- slow greens today though.
I love Piligrim's Oak - it's one of my favorites in Lancaster County....too bad it's so far down South in the county. It is always in great condition - exepct yesterday the greens were very hairy (slow). It was really hot out so maybe they are trying to keep the greens alive, which is understandable. But they were definitely the slowest greens I've played this year. Other than that, I love the layout of it and the views are spectacular!
Golf dream!
Pulling into the course you are greeted with nice scenery and a big pond. Game play: this course is great for beginners and is challenging for the more experienced players. The tee boxes are well placed with a chance to drive the ball over grassy field, deep brush, and a big pond that will make you feel like you play professional golf. Fairways are properly maintained for an easy shot to your target. Once your ball reaches the green, your works not done, with hard and soft slopes your either one putt or three putts to the finish. I give pilgrims oak five stars for an overall great experience!
Perfectly maintained
Pilgrims oak was perfect from start to finish. It was perfectly maintained. I caught myself taking pictures of its beauty on multiple holes. I'll definitely return on my next visit to lancaster county!
Lots of ups and downs - hills that is
Beautiful conditions, open layout as long as you stay out of the tall grasses.
Great Hot Deal value!
played long ago and hadn't returned due to an agonizingly slow round. I'm sorry I waited so long. Course was in great shape and fun to play. Set up was difficult due to having hosted a torny, but not unfair. Now that I know the layout, I'm hoping for fewer errant shots and a better score!
Tough greens, beautiful course
Super fast greens with a ton of break! Very difficult to get the ball close to the hole on approach shots.
One of the best courses I've ever played
Best conditioned course in the area. Hands down. Absolutely amazing. Holes are a little long and it tires you out if you're not used to hills or links style but absolutely a blast.
fmc2277, as the Director of Golf at Pilgrim's Oak I wanted to clarify that we run tee times on 8 and 9 minute intervals and Saturday we had a ranger out on the golf course from 10am to 3pm. I was wondering what time you played on Saturday because every group that we had come off the golf course while I was here(until 4pm) finished in 4 hours and 40 minutes or less. Thank you!
