Joseph M. Bartholomew Golf Course

Foursome in front of us were gambling, taking a long time on the green.

Some wanted flag in, some out, flag going in and out between puts.

A marshall came over to tell us not to drive behind the greens, we asked him if he could speed up the foursome in front of us, he looked in their direction then rode off.

I love this course with all the water foul. I love all the noise made by the birds. The staff is always nice. I come from Wisconsin generally this time of year so I always look forward to play here a couple of times when I am here.

Beautiful day, not so good score, fun with friends . Course played slow , but good to see so many out there enjoying the links.

Course layout was great, hidden traps. Play the course under control for par and you will do well. Take chances and you’ll pay.

I was robbed in the parking lot by teens. Would stay away from this course

Course is great very nice layout and the club house staff very helpful and extremely friendly and polite.

There is also a exceptional restaurant there as well. Great value first the money spent.

Buddy in town for a wedding and HS reunion. Chose course over several other available options. Although course gets lots of play, course is in excellent shape due to the 'greensmen' dedication to keeping the course in top shape. Majority of patrons understand golf etiquette which adds to the enjoyment factor. Played 18 in 3 1/2 hrs and never had to wait on the group in front of us. Fairways, tee boxes, bunkers in great shape.

I’ve been playing here for years and it’s always been a well kept course for a cheap rate. It’s grown in popularity; so on the weekends/ holidays it gets crowded with long wait times on the course, but during the week there’s usually not many golfers & there’s no hold up. There’s a bar with food & beer (no liquor), driving range, putting green, but no chipping nor practice sand trap.

After a round, check out The Lighthouse Bar & Grill nearby on Lake Pontchrtrain at the Marina or The Munch Factory at the course which has great food as well.

I usually play a round of golf ⛳ twice a week. My two favorite courses in NOLA are Joseph Bartholomew and Bayou Oaks/City Park South. As for the best value, Bartholomew wins hands down! After playing 18 holes I usually order a late lunch at the Munch Factory Creole Cafe which is located adjacent to the club house at Bartholomew. Both the service and the food are always excellent!
