Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

A wonderful day was had by all
Great Staff and the Course was in great condition - will be going again soon - many thanks
Cobb's Glenn
First and foremost I would like everyone to know that the greens are not bentgrass, they are Bermuda. I booked this course through golf now specifically looking for a course that still had bent greens. This is the best time of year to putt on bent greens and Bermuda is still dormant and bumpy. Golf now needs to update their course description. That being said I still had a good time. Even though the greens were Bermuda and dormant they still rolled quite well and we're starting to come out of dormancy. Same for the course. All in all a good value for a nice place. Low key, not pretentious at all. Grab your buds and some buds and get a round in.
Great Course
This course is really a hidden gem. Large greens, but undulating at times and very tricky, but they roll very quickly...
Every hole is different.
No two holes were alike. This course is interesting, challenging (yet fair) hole after hole. Great fun (even though I didn't have my 'A' game). Lots of elevation change but not ridiculous.
Good afternon get away
I would like to play this course again in late spring or summer when it is good and green. The Greens were is good shape and great for putting. Bunkers were a little hard - but in this this area true sand is hard to find.Fairways were open with some carry shots needed over bunkers. Price was right and everyone was friendly. I wasnt in a hurry - so I had a funs time playing as a single.
Big fan of Cobbs Glen
It's still winter conditions, but the course is in good shape. The greens are SUPER FAST (which I prefer) so you'd better roll the ball. By far, Cobbs ist favorite course in the Anderson, SC area.
Course overall condition
Cobbs glen in Anderson sc is by far one of the best golf courses in the upstate for the price. The greens are outstanding and would recommend the course to anyone . A very enjoyable day at the course!!
Fast Greens this month
The course still has dormant Bermuda fairways but the greens are very fast. Definitely need to leave the ball below the hole. Front nine's are faster than back nine's. Need to be extremely careful (lucky) on #9. The green is uphill approach with a slope from back to front. Your ball can roll off and down the fairway about 10-15 yards - either from a short chip on or (if your ball was lucky enough to stay on to begin with) on your putt.
a very challeneging course
some fairways were wet from rain but we had an excellent time and hope to play there again. weather was excellent and all the staff were very helpful
Golf
Nice golf course. Course was in good condition and was well taken care off. I would recommend this course to others
Top Notch course!!!Bring your putting game...
The fairways were very nice. I don't like tight lies in the fairway and this course has very fluffy lies in the fairway. The greens are true, but roll really fast. Lots of OB stakes. I'm usually a low to mid 80 golfer, first time playing this course, left with ego hurting and lucky to have had a 90.(lots of three putts). If I had to complain, and it would be nitpicking, the sand traps have very little sand and a hard bottom about an half inch down. Easily in the top ten courses I've played in SC.
Nice Course
Nice course, not easy but not super hard either. Greens are very tricky and were fast this time, but fair. Enjoyed the round
Best in the area
The course was in great condition with the exception of the sand traps or I guess I should say dirt traps. There was very little sand in them but they weren't horrible either. I have played out of worst traps. This is without a doubt the best course in the Anderson area.
Fairways were in great shape.
The course was in great shape, but, the greens could have been more consistent throughout. Some were fast while some were very slow.
Fairways and greens in prime condition!
Picked up a hot deal for a twosome, the day before we played, for $19/player. Course is in near perfect condition for fall (especially given all the rain we got this past summer). Fairways were plush, course is well-maintained, and the greens were rolling true. Have played here a half-dozen times and this is the best condition I've ever seen it. Will play again very soon!
This course is nice.
Solid course. Conditions could be a little better. Overall, a good value using golf now.
very good course
I enjoy playing this course very much, the time of the tee times is always great for me, not to early and not to late.
This course is challenging.
The course was in good condition. A player needs to stay out of the rough, as there are some "rough" challenges on every fairway. The greens putting was good. I play various courses on a weekly basis, and found this to be in good shape compared to some of the other courses that I play.
Nice course. I'm glad I played here again.
This was my second time playing this couse. It was in good shape. I was running late and called the pro shop and they were very nice and I was able to get on with no problem and played in less than 3 1/2 hours which is very good for a Friday afternoon. The greens were in good shape. The grain on the Bermuda greens is definitely a factor when reading putts.
Cobb's Glen is in great shape
This course is back in great shape. They switched from bent to bermuda greens a little while back and decided to sod the back 9 and seed the front 9 greens. Then back 9 had perfect greens the front had some greens that needed a little work. They airified all the greens about three weeks ago now they are all great hold the ball well and putt smooth as silk. This is a nice course with quite a challenge from the tips. The staff are always super nice and i would recommend everyone to play here as you won't be disappointed.
