Fantastic Staff, Fun and Challenging Course

Played on July 4, surprisingly not many people out. Lead to a great pace of play. I believe the emptiness gave the staff an opportunity to be extra courteous. Checking in was a breeze. Everyone is very friendly. The course was more challenging than I anticipated. I will definitely be back to improve and get redemption on a few of the holes. My only complaint about the course is the driving range. It stood out like a sore thumb. It did not seem to fit the rest of the course at all. I believe they could do some slight renovations even just some landscaping and painting the barrels would make the range more attractive and would go a long way. I give this place a 7 out of 10. Great course especially for the price!

Good times

This is a great course if you’re just looking to have fun and play golf. Not serious dudes here pushing you to play better or faster. The bar makes a strong drink and all the staff are fantastic. Easy going friendly pro shop guys that are also the bartenders and club fitters. The starter is always friendly smiling. Some of the ladies that work there are super cute and nice. They try hard to please the golfer customer and the course is maintained pretty well considering the geography and topography of the area. My only complaint is the elevated par 3 tee box had a mat and no grass and I didn’t want to move to the red. After all said and done I spent $50 on the round with my neighbor friend and it was well worth it! Thanks again Boulder Oaks!

Blbn fun course!

I drove down from Ventura County to play this course was not disappointed at all. The greens are very good maybe could have used a little more maintenance but it's also probably the time of year absolutely no complaints booked on golfnow.com Fair Deal with the effort

Bang for Your Buck

Great staff! I booked my foursome on GolfNow which gave me a 6am tee time. 6am tee time wasn't on the schedule, sunrise wasn't until 6:24am.

Staff was great and accommodating! I didn't get the Marshall name at the opening but he was awesome. Great attitude and gave us a ton of hints that helped 3 of the 4 of us play our best game ever.

The course was challenging but fun. Earlier on the greens played slow and different levels challenged us. Later on, as the weather warmed up, the greens sped up and we had to adjust which it made it even more fun.

Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife! Most important tip I can give is stay out of the rough or your game will suffer.

Coming back for sure!

Improved. Fairway and green conditions got much better

Compared to couple of years ago, maintenance got significant improvements with more grass coverage in fairways. Some tee box still needs more attention ( one hole had range mat !!! ) Overall, this place is still acceptable

Couple things to note.

This is super short course with strange 19th hole to finish the round…. And driving range onsite still not yet acceptable level at all compared to other courses…

Good place to practice short irons in most holes

Quirky Good Challenge & Value

The layout is a little quirky since they reconfigured the course several years ago: 11 holes on the “front 9” and a bonus par 4 19th hole on the back. Despite that, it’s a fun challenge with many elevation changes, pretty landscape and views. The greens are in great shape. A couple of the par 5’s are short but bunkers and green slopes make them and other holes challenging. The staff is friendly, the carts and facilities are fine and they have a large bar. Worth your time and green fee for sure.

High Value, Rough Condition

The greens are fine and challenging. Fairways nice, too. There was a change in layout years ago and the cart path was not changed. There are a few places where the next tee is a complete mystery. Maybe some simple signage?? A dark, aging “clubhouse(?)” that we avoided. But a great value if you have the need for swinging the Driver.

The course is the worst we have played and we have played courses across the USA and Mexico and Hawaii. Hills to climb at every hole to get to the tee boxes , cart paths too far away from greens and tee boxes.. Get rid of your ground squirrel population as they are making the fairways very rough. We felt like we had driven across country in a covered wagon by the end of our round. Terrible first impression of the club house and parking lot, couldn’t drive up to the clubhouse u til someone told us to go back out and come around! By first sight that should have been our first clue to drop out and find a better course but we would have lost our money since we booked with Golf Now!! By far our worst experience in golf, very disappointing!

I'm not returning

While the staff was friendly, the course seem like it had a halfway decent layout, the pace of play and the management of the course was horrendous. We left at the turn. Done

Casual course

Arrived 5 minutes late because of bad Google maps directions, got right on no problem, no fuss. Course was in decent shape, fun layout if you play from at least the blue tees. Good for a cheap round, better than playing an executive.

Bad condition and tee times late by 45 minutes

This course is in very poor condition. The range mats haven’t been changed out in years and many of the range balls were cracked. They were 8 people registered for our tee time and they were running 45 minutes late. I won’t play here again.

Fun course to play

I’ve golfed her twice and have enjoyed it both times. The pace of play is good and the holes are challenging. It’s a good value as well. Would definitely recommend this course. Anyone looking to try something different locally.
