Great vibes
I think the course was better than expected and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely come back in the future.
Fun course to pkay
Really enjoyed this course, friendly staff, overall I would recommend all golfers in the San Diego to Go Play this course!
Unique course plays short.
Early tee time made for soft greens. Really a unique layout. I will be back to play another round.
Completely dry. Be prepared to lose balls.
This course is run down and not worth the money they charge. For $60 you’d think they could water the grass. Greens were good though.
Good times!
Boulder Oaks is known for being a mellow fairly easy course. I enjoy the course during the week. The greens played slow and were nice, and in great shape. The 3rd hole was closed for renovation which kind of bothered me but they have a bonus 19th hole par 4 which made up for that. Our cart battery died on the 11th just after tee off. I called the clubhouse. We let 3 groups through and the clubhouse brought us a new cart. After that we had no one behind us. At the end of the round packing up in the parking lot I noticed I didn’t have my wallet. It was left in the dead cart and the clubhouse had it. That’s never happened to me before. Fantastic service from the staff at Boulder Oaks! It went from a great day of golf to a bad day right back to being a great day! Thanks Boulder Oaks I’ll be back. I can’t wait to take on hole #6 again!
Needs Some modernization
My son and I played this course for the first time Sunday 8/17. The course layout was really cool and tucked into a really nice community. The greens played and looked amazing, fairways could use some growth in many spots really dry and missing grass. The Sprinklers were on and made it a little bit of a hassle while trying to play. The golf carts for sure were old and outdated and we had to swap carts at the turnaround due to a low air rear tire, also one closed hole due to maintenance. Very friendly staff at check in as well as at the snack bar and cart girl. For the most part very fun course played short so allowed us to work on irons and short game which we both needed. I thought the price was a little high for being an 3 out of 5 rating and under maintenance, however I will for sure look to come back and play in the future because it is a fun course with a good amount of difficulty.
Great for last minute golf
I thought I was going to lose more balls than I did. Must stay on fairways, this course can be a bit challenging. Needs a little more TLC!
Solid course
Paid 60 something dollars for a morning tee time, small bucket and ride along and played in 3 hours. 19 holes, fun layout, decent conditions
Not for the price
I hadn’t been here in a few years. We paid $75 . To me, it’s not worth that. The course layout is pretty cool, but if you’re not in the middle of the fairway, or on the green, good luck finding your ball and getting a decent shot off after that.
great value
staff was excellent and greens were in great shape
2nd time a lot better than last time
Used Golf Now, but had to pay for cart.
I challenged myself to play better and reduced 13 strokes to hit a 77.
Played a lot better. No melt downs.
Greens are good, fairways and traps are ok.
Wet Greens and dodging sprinklers
Plays fast on a Wednesday morning. Greens were wet and in bad condition. May fairway sprinklers were running.
Used Golf Now for discount
We used GN for a decent price, then found out that we had to pay a $25 cart fee.
Course has a nice layout to it, but upkeep is minimal and it needs work. Greens are Ok. Holes are confusing with numbering and following along when you play. Probably will not play here again.
Worth it if you can get under $50
Honestly a very respectable course, front nine plays very short and it lengthens a bit on the back. Very narrow course overall though, several extremely difficult holes. Overall good and challenging.
PS - some of the spongiest greens I’ve ever seen in my life. You can thin a shot right at it and it’ll probably stay on.
Course Overview
The conditions aren’t great but for the money, I enjoyed the vast challenges this course offered. Don’t come into this with high expectations and I think you’ll throughly enjoy this place.
