Boulder Oaks Golf Club

I played here several times last week. The greens are fast and rolling very nice, stay below the hole. Most tee boxes and fairways are adequate. The bunkers are bare dirt which is a glaring defect. You’ll be happier if you treat them us Ground Under Repair and just take a free drop no closer to the hole.

Suggestions to management:

1) I played here a few days last week but the hole positions never changed from day to day. They used to be moved every day. I’m inclined to play elsewhere next week just because of this.

2). The last 4 times I played here there was no divot mix in the carts, just empty bottles. It sends the message that you don’t care about the course and probably contributes to golfers not fixing ball marks on the greens, driving where they shouldn’t, etc..

The Clubshop Worker was one of the rudest, inconsiderate, and elitists I’ve encountered on a course. First and last time playing here. His name was “Peter” - seemed like he was making that up but his ignorance will deter me and friends from ever paying money here again. The course was fun, interesting layout, challenged you off the tee - “Peter” was reason enough to say “no thanks” for a second attempt

Starter was not wearing mask, no regard for guest safety. Course needs work. Bunkers hard dirt and weeds.

Check in personal very rid and not at all friendly, charged double for cart rental than month before with no notice of upcharge. They let people out inside 10 minutes apart and was a very slow round of golf. Course appears to have had none or very little attention and had many bad spots in fairways and greens, cart paths were mostly dirt and some areas dangerous if not taking very slowly. All and all a very bad experience, even the course marshall was complaining about ownership not doing anything to improve the course. I will not be playing there anymore unless ownership changes, and will tell all my network of golf friends not to go there as well.

Golf now shows single books with a cart at $49 but when you arrive they will charge you $10 more for not having a second player in your cart. They would rather lose $49 then let you ride alone. BS

The staff are very nice and the course layout is pretty good. The conditions are not great, the bunkers are hard as a rock and overgrown with weeds. The fairways are not the nicest but work. The greens are actually pretty good.

It was a beautiful day and we love this course BUT too often there's a slow start..today we had more than a 30 minute delay from our original tee time....then midway through a group that had "stopped to have lunch" after playing their front 9 (seriously ???) came back out onto the course and went in front of us...when we questioned them about moving in front of us..,.they assured us they play fast.

Unfortunately that was not the case. They were horribly slow which backed up everyone behind us...without a marshall to check on play we could do nothing about it but wait. By the time we finished and came off the course it was so backed up there was a line of foursomes waiting for carts. Our usual 3 hour round ended up taking 5 hours...far too long for this course....sadly disappointed. .When asked on this review if I would recommend this course...I said yes...but I would definitely let them know play can be terribly slow.

Fairways, tee boxes were not in good shape. No sand in traps.

Course needs a lot of maintenance , Pace of play was horrible!

I would of had a better time being mugged for my money. This course is horrible. If anyone says differently they are lying. The greens had bowling ball size divots in them, I was afraid that the roof on our cart was going to collapse. Before we even got out on the course another cart had a flat tire. The started was a good dude and very easy going. the course Marshal was a very nice lady and I enjoyed talking to her while we were backed up on the course. The guy in the pro shop, total jerk!!! another player got charged extra for being a single the total cart fee and I got a lecture, he was very rude and I didn't appreciate his attitude. I will never play there again. I would write more about what is very wrong with this place but I have reached my minimum. TOTAL HORSE TRACK DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Not sure why it was so slow starting, but the course gave rain checks to those that weren't able to finish because of the delay, which was nice. Most course won't take the responsibility of any delays. Fun course with some reachable par 4s. Some great elevating changes and some stunning views. Price is reasonable on most days of the week. I would definitely go back, if I wasn't moving out of state.

Would not recommend unless you don’t mind waiting every shot and playing 5+ hour rounds. The greens were the only decent part of the course. At one point, there was 8 people playing on one hole...

This courses conditions were pretty bad and will not play again

Not enough time between tee times. Staff told me several tee times were only 3 minutes apart. Too many people, not enough carts. I will not play again on a weekend. Quirky course, fun, but not on a weekend.
