Fun, very playable course.
Once my ego allowed me to play the blue tees, I'm really enjoying this course more. Some great short par 4's, very playable par 3's and challenging par 5's. If you can keep ball in the fairways, you will avoid most of the trouble and dirt areas. Greens in good shape. A fun course, not long (but not an executive course) and you can score on. Very reasonable green fees.

Very friendly staff and great course conditions. Great value for your money. The only thing I do not love is the course lay out. It is very confusing and zig zags everywhere and not labeled great. Otherwise I would give this place a 5 star :)

Great course - Slow play
Fun course and friendly staff. The course needs to work on Pace of Play. Last two rounds we were unable to finish because the pace was unbearable. Waiting at every tee box. Will not go back anytime soon. Not too excited about 5+ hour rounds.

Great Value and Fun Course
First time out, will absolutely be back and much better prepared for the fast greens! Sand traps could be ‘sandier’ but still playable, some muddy areas on the fairways but overall a great course, especially for the price.

TOO Many Boulders
Just not our cup of tea. Often couldn't see the layout of the hole. Fairways were so bumpy that a good shot might bounce off the course. Sand traps were mostly dirt.

Great course for the money
Excellent course for the money. Greens are well kept, roll true, and hole placement makes for challenging putts. Sand traps around the greens have sand and fairways are better than most in the area.

Course is in fine condition
This is kind of my home course. Love the pace of play, and the varying degrees of difficulty of each hole. It seems the owners of this course have really put forth some effort to create a nice course. They also always have a nice friendly greeting, as does the guy who checks people in. I will keep recommending this course to my friends and colleagues. By the way, the greens were in fabulous shape today⛳

Great pace of play, greens are really nice.....area around the greens getting better.
Some tough spots in the fairways, and the traps are pretty bad, but fortunately, was only in one today...

Good bang for your buck
This course is slowly improving over time. Just a couple years ago this place was in pretty terrible shape. Now it's a decent place to play. First the cons...Tee boxes are like hitting from the rough, majority of their par 5's should really be par 4's, the driving range is in really bad condition, and no cart person going around the course (which is sorely needed in a location like Escondido when it's hot out). The pros... Greens and fairways are in good shape, nice putting and chipping greens, lots of challenging course elements, water coolers provided on the course, and the price is very affordable. Because of the lack of true par 5's on this course I consider this more of an "in between" course. Not an executive but not quite a true 18 hole course. But very fun and affordable.

Worth its price, but try to challenge
Played in the morning on Aug 31, Sat, 2019. This is a kind of semi or compact golf course with some 5,000 yards. I do not know why the pace of play was lethargically slow today in such a short length course, and the dicey course layout prevented us from hitting from Black or Blue Tee in some holes. But the "Green" and "Fairway" are well maintained despite the recent hot days. As a whole, it is worth playing here at the play fee around $30. or $35.
