Boulder Oaks Golf Club

First time here since Meadow Lake. Yes, it is short, but considering the wind and course unfamiliarity, it made for an interesting round.

The course conditions were immaculate. Nice to see even with drought.

Layout had a few blind tees.

Value and conditions will definitely bring me back. 3 hr. 35 min round.

This is the first time we've played this course and could have used a course layout book. We were sent out at 6:37 on hold 12 and while in the tee box we were told we needed to be back at hole 1 by 8:00 because they had a scramble that started at 8:00. We made it to the first tee box at 7:52 and then got paired with another twosome which was fine because they had played here before. There are a lot of blind shots off the tee boxes into narrow sloped fairways. The tee boxes and fairways were in good condition. The greens were very nice with the exception of a couple that had not recovered from aeration. The only draw back is that the course has not been set up for GPS use, good thing I had a range finder. I would recommend and play this course again any time.

Golf course is great for practice team competition and practical exercises .

If you plan on having a nice round of golf and you take your game seriously, this is not the course to play. Horrible, forgettable, waste of time.

I play BO at least 4-5 times a month, it’s an enjoyable course.The course conditions are nice, especially for the price. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. The downside is that at times the pace of play can be very slow, having course Marshall’s who actually enforce pace of play etiquette would be really helpful. Playing early usually is best for pace of play.

Course is changed around and extremely playable. Short front 9, but back 9 a bit tougher. Greens were in very good condition. A few holes are wedged in, but hit your shot and a good score is possible! Probably should be Par 68 or something less than the 70 it's playing.

This is a really fun course. Not very long and a bit of a quirky layout but very fun to play. It was in good condition and we had a good time. For sure great value for the money.

A nice course hidden away in the hills of North County. Easy enough to get to and a very accommodating staff. Course in pretty good shape, shoddy sand being improved, spring aeration healing nicely. Most of the greens are true.

The reviews climbed steadily over the last several months so I finally decided to play. Definitely the most varied layout I've ever played. I will be back, probably with my wife

First time playing and wasn’t crowded at all. Had a great time . Shorter than most but that’s perfect for me as I don’t drive 275 yards. Beautiful views and nice challenges to be had ! Will be back !

Had a good golfing experience at Boulder Oaks. Not crowded, good pace of play and beautiful weather

I am a 18 handicap women and we played blue tees. Some of the carries off the tee were a bit long and the greens were a bit slow. Enjoyed playing the course and would recommend to others.

Even with some greens punched the course is in very good condition. Some of the tee boxes need some care.When making the turn to #12 I found that 3 groups elected to start on #12. It put a kink in pace of play, but made the best of it.

Going out at 6:45am as a single was nice, and gave me time to look at the course. Some interesting holes, 4 horrible punched greens, and yardages that were inaccurate. I played the blues and should have played black for more challenge. The difficulty lay in the lack of knowledge of some of the holes, and poor direction on the course. The par 4's were almost drivable, which allowed me a good chance to score, and the yardages on the tees did not seem accurate, having overshot some greens, so I relied on my own evaluation. For $23 can't complain since I hit well, but it's only a novelty course if you want to score. The non-punched greens rolled true and were nicely fast though.

This is a good course to play with your wife or son/daughter. It's affordable and not very long. A lot of the holes have blind shots, which is sort of ok.

The course is in fair condition, some of the traps need attention (clean the weeds out). If you use a GPS device be warned that they seem to have shifted the holes around. It was out by 11 (eleven) holes, (not 9).
