Boulder Oaks Golf Club

Course was supper packed and played extremely slow. Our tee time was scheduled for 12pm. We did not end up teeing off until 12:37 pm. The course as in good in shape and the greens were nice, but was just super slow. Then there was a group of 5, who slowed down the course the last few holes.

The course is steadily improving and we found it a fun track. Staff very friendly. Back nine especially nice, no waits, and good value. Will come again.

Hadn’t been to the course in about 6 months.....hip replacement surgery....

Played here last week and the conditions where pretty good. Played again today and they must have had a tournament or something. The greens where tore up and the fairways where not as good as last week. This course can eat balls. Food is great but took longer than expected today. Still a great value and the pace of play is always good. Needs a few weeks possibly to get back to optimal conditions but I would still play here even with rough greens.

Golf now had a super deal for this course. Don't let the price fool you,this is a nice and challenging course. Best deal ever.

Didn't play this course for 6 months. The course condition has been greatly improved and the layout has been rearranged in a good way. The old hole No. 1 is now No.hole 12 which is extended from par 4 to par 5. The blind tee shot on hole No. 10 is challenging for Blue and Black tee. You have to put your ball at the middle of the fairway, otherwise you may easily lose your ball. Fun course to play.

Suggested by my cousin as a good meeting point this little track is sure to deliver. I started my day with a burger from the cafe and it was awesome. Fresh ground beef hand made patties, fries where excellent $10, can’t beat it. The course is hidden behind a mountain and surrounded with nice homes. This is so far out of the way it’s hardly played. We where able to play as fast or slow as we wanted. We teed off at 11:30 and had nobody in front or behind for at least an hour. The course is challenging from the black. It’s nice and green, the fairways are in good shape, greens are really nice and tight. The bunkers are a joke and the tee boxes are totally soaked in some areas. This is what makes this course fantastic though. It’s not perfect, it’s not close to anyone, it’s $25 on golf now and it’s absolutely magnificent for $25. The value is there, the ability to actually enjoy a course and even tee off a few balls becuase nobody is waiting. The layout is a little wacky and they have a cheesy range but this will be a regular stop for me. It’s everything you need to have a feel good day of playing golf. Price, beauty, good food, no people, powerful carts and a bit challenging from the black for an average golfer with some power. Go for it, this is a neat place

Boulder Oaks, formerly Meadowlake, has improved a lot since its' turf reduction "make-over." The lay-out is a bit quirky, but can be fun and challenging. Greens are in great shape and run fast, especially on some of the more undulating greens. What it lacks in distance, it can make up for in shot making and putting. At $15 on Golfnow, it's an extraordinary value!

Been years since I last played here. I like what they’re doing to the course. It’s a bit shorter course, but it was fun. If you’re use to teeing off the blues, do black instead

Should be the home of the GPS open for the first few holes. Really needs better signage for tee boxes. Finding the first hole was a chore along with the tee boxes for the first few up till the 6th tee. A bit on the short side so a 100 +/- slope rating from the whites is sensible. A lot of holes are real ego boosters like the downhill par 4 18 that is drivable. Need to keep it in play though as much of the area outside of the fairways are hardpan or disappear into rattlesnake country. Interesting time going 4x4 on the way to some tees in carts. Otherwise good value at $20 for twilight so can't complain.

Play this course quite often. The conditions were not normal due to over seeding. It was cart path only but no big deal still had a great time. Pace of play was great just over 3 hours for the round. Play as golf now patron all the time and have found the staff very friendly and no problems getting out ahead of time if the course is open. It is a short course but we always have a great time playing it.

Wish they had announced advisory on re-seeding the entire Golf course before I booked. Driving was only allowed on the cart paths. Somewhat challenging with elevation changes, narrow fairways.and lots of blind spots. Most greens were well manicured.

While the course is getting better and better under new management the management does not welcome Golf Now patrons. Yesterday I arrived about an hour early and was told to wait because they had teamed me up with another Golf Now patron due in an hour or so. There were no other golfers in the lot or clubhouse. When I asked if I could just go I was told no because I "did not pay the same as their regular patrons". After almost an hour they finally let me play......alone since the other Golf Now patron was a no show. This is the second time (the other a couple of months ago) they have done this to me.

Tee boxes were not in good shape, the fairways were all burned out and there was too much waste area where you ended up hitting off dirt. I understand the idea of target golf and trying to save water, but with such a hilly, sloped course, you end up getting penalized for hitting good shots. Sorry, but I liked the old Meadowview better.

I have played this course before and really liked it. Since then they have changed the whole course by renumbering the holes and they added a driving range. The two nines are completely lopsided with no par 5s on the front and 4 par 5s on the back nine, 3 of those par 5s are in a row. The course was very dry, especially the tees. We all had great difficulty putting the tee in the ground because it was so hard. The last time I played this course is was very green, I enjoyed playing it and was shocked when I played it yesterday. I won't go there again and won't recommend it to anyone.

Doesn’t look like the course has been watered for a month. I seriously needed a hammer just to get the tees into the ground on 90% of the tee boxes. The staff is amongst the friendliest in all of San Diego. I drive about 100 miles round-trip just to play this course. Someone please let me know what’s going on thank you
