El Rio Golf Course

I couldn't tell where the dirt started and fairway ended, needs some serious help or close it down. tight fairways.

A mix of holes lengths. Several dog legs to contend with, both left and right.

Course is the worse course in Tucson. Ni grass, no watering, tee boxes bad, mounds of dirt all over course created by sime animal, greens were bumpy, slow, and just plain ugly. We paid $24 and that was too much. Will never go back again. Sand traps were mainly dirt loosened up. Either fix it up or shut it down. Have played on courses in at least 6 states and this on is the worse.

Paid $36.00 with a residence card. The course was in bad shape. The fairways were dormant and too much hard pan. Some greens were not very good. Have been told that this city course is scheduled to be shut down. Perhaps this is why the course was in such bad shape. Price should have reflected the condition of the course. I would venture to say the price should have been more like $15 to $20 at best.

i won't go back until they get some grass and the sand traps have sand. the fairways were terrible

This faiway & green needs more improving condition.

I really enjoy playing there it's easy to walk and every hole is accessible.

If this course was in good condition it would be fun to play. Presently it has no grass in the fairways and the greens were bumpy.

Opted for the cheapest weekend golf available and got just that.
Very little grass on the fairways. Greens/ greenside/ bunkers were fine though

booked the course but didn't play it myself. my two partners who did rated it as "pretty thin." Pace was slow. Cuorse not in very good shape (it was January). Staff was very friendly.

On January 14th, 2013 the average daytime temperature was supposed to be much warmer than predicted and with the late afternoon wind things got challenging. We did our best to finish well despite shivering and shaking. On good warm days we'd recommend this course especially in hot summer days when the tree lined fairways keep one comfortable.

The course fairway was very dry so it made the ball go alot farther. It was very slow that day so we only played 7 holes. We were told to come later than 1:30 and we could play 9 holes without waiting. Most people come early so they can get 18 holes in. It's a straight course so most of the holes were the same. I think it would have been a tough course if the condition of the course was in better condition. All in all we had fun. I got a par!!!

Other golfer at this course were very rude. Staff was not helpful. I was almost hit twice by balls from other golfers. As a whole the group behind us drove into us 4 times. The course play was slow which is alright, but others need to understand this and not hit into the groups in front of them. We could not pick up the speed of play.
It will be a long time before I play this course again if ever.

This course has always been one of my favorites until this winter when they did not overseed the fairways which are dead grass or bare ground. The greens are in excellent shape however.

The price was right, but you got what you paid for. Fairways were not overseeded, and there is no driving range.

People are great but course is funky, greens not too bad.

Good value for the price paid. Staff is always nice. Course could of been in better shape but, given the time of season the conditions were what I expected.

Slow play, bad greens and fairway on a course I usually like to play. I was disappointed. The staff were the best thing since they were friendly and laughing.

Staff was friendly, and made sure pace of all players was steady.

If I wanted to play on a dead grass couse, I would play Santa Rita. If you want to make money don`t run the down.
