Enke shines
Course was lush and well kept. Always a challenge. The traps need a bit of work but overall a terrific place to play
It’s a fun time!!!
Had a blast!! The course layout is awesome but honestly the grass could have been better taken care of
Gettin Green - Keep the Rain Comin
Some recent rain has started to green up the fairways nicely.. if we have a normal monsoon season this place is gonna look lush soon ! The greens still show their punch marks and are running slow like 8-9 which is not unusual in summer. Doing a good job there, keep up the good work !
Good desert course in Tucson
Fred Enke is a true desert course. The course rewards accurate shots and punishes off line shots that will make you fish another ball out of your bag - risking a rattlesnake bite isn't worth it. This course has several holes with forced carries off the tee.
I played on a 106 degree day, and the course was in pretty decent shape. The greens were a bit baked, but rolled pretty good, and could hold shots.
Terrific
Have not played here for several years and I was mildly surprised at how good the condition of the course is. Good layout and a a short distance from home. TeeOff gave me such a good deal that I could not pass up the opportunity to play this course again.
It’s been a while
Despite unpaved cart paths on front nine, the course is in very good shape, greens, fairways and bunkers. Tricky layout, some blind shots, etc requires a few rounds to familiarize oneself

This course for me was always the last option, I.i fact, it was referred to as a dog track. Today, this place is amazing. I was absolutely shocked that the course is in AMAZING shape. It will be a priority course for me, from now on. Well done city of Tucson!!!!
C’mon Summer!
Great day at Enke,,, as the temps heat up the crowds are backing down. Course conditions are firming up,, greens still receptive to shorter irons but definitely factor some bounce and roll when approaching from distance. Just like it should be!! Played mid-day and got around in right at 3 hours- good times.
PS. Sand traps are baked and hard- I think we have all become accustomed to that around here
