Fred Enke Golf Course

Ground is hard, lots of roll. Greens in good shape.

Check in was quick. Clothing supply well stocked. Starter friendly. New carts. Pace even on a Saturday afternoon was great. Lots of variety of holes. Multiple tee distances and combination. Something for every one. Will definitely return.

Played this course yesterday and had a lot of fun . We got paired up with a couple we played with the week before, just out of the blue, and had a blast, they had recommended the course. The course is interesting, no two holes are alike and most are challenging, if you are a lower handicap (8-12) you will probably shoot below your handicap and will definitely enjoy the course. Higher handicappers expect to lose some balls. The staff is friendly except for the starter, he is either shy or just uncomfortable with people he doesn’t know. If you want a fun, somewhat challenging round, give Fred a try, it’s worth it. We liked it enough to return today.

Average course at best but worth the money hats off to the pro shop 👍

This course took over 5 1/2 hours to play on a Saturday Afternoon. No player's assistant or others seen to help speed up play. Very ironique that the scorecard states "Expected Pace of Play policy not to exceed 4 hours and 30 minutes will be enforced" Put your money where your mouth is!!

Poor signage between greens and the next tee box - we got lost several times in the desert trying to find the next tee box.

Some of the cart paths were poorly maintained - I've driven on better logging roads.

Only positive of the round (apart from finally finishing) was the friendliness of the refreshment cart person - she also assisted us a couple of times to find the next tee box.

Definitely will not play this course again when I visit the Tucson area.

Actually liked this desert course..

coul use better signs to next hole but liked the. course...one hole seemed not a wise choice...it had the green surrounded by stones that were 4-5 fret tall...if you didn't get on green from 30 or so yards getting on green in front of stones is hard as the ground in front is not nice grass to hit off of...seems weird and holds up golfers

It took 5 hours to play this very nice desert course, which rather detracted from all the good things about it. I will have to think hard before committing to another round here.

Best I've see the conditions at this course ever. Golf carts got an upgrade too. It's just the golf cart path that rough buy everything was great even the sand

All conditions were good, green’s especially nice, roll smoothly, hold a shot. Fred Enke can present challenges to first timers as there are shots to avoid and (unless you know this) you can get into trouble. Crews have cleared vast desert zones to help speed play. Unfortunately carts seem to be driven everywhere including places they shouldn’t visit. There are no ranger’s, most likely wouldn’t help as the course simply gets “stacked up”. Don’t let this deter you, it’s worth a visit.

We have played there occasionally over 7 years.

Fairways and greens are in the best shape of any previous round.

The course and greens were in great condition. It is extremely difficultfor seniors who cant het it very far..

Please send a Marshall out to monitor pace of play..

There was at least an open hole and a half in front our 4some.

It took5 hrs to finish.

No frost delay to blame for backup.

Not the 1st time encountering this issue.
