Pretty Good Outing............
Teed it up at 1:30, played in a 4some, played it straight cept for 13, pace was surprisingly good this day, course was all together, #3 was fixed but #10 was a par 3?? didn't get that....overall a really nice experience at chula vista this time out...........
You get what you pay for...
Cheap rates but horrible fairways and patchy greens.

Never Again
This course is an average layout in terrible condition. Tees are shredded, fairways are full of bare spots and little grass. The worst are the greens, they are very, very slow and very bumpy. They have some fungus or something that is eating them up so there are holes and bare spots on the greens.

Mini Put-Put has better greens
I’m a novice golfer, however this was the worst condition of a course that I have ever seen. Not sure if it’s a management thing or just product or the environment. Not coming back...

Chela Vista GC
I’ve always enjoyed the layout of this course, and the price is very fair. Pace of play is extremely slow. Course conditions are average. But, again, green fees are very reasonable and it’s a fun track. This is also a course where the weekend duffer won’t feel out of place.

Crab grass greens
I’ve been coming to this course for years I’ve never seen it this bad granted I got a teatime really cheap but wow the fairways are so dried out hard as a rock can’t tell the fairway from the ruff. And the greens wow they have crab grass growing through them and dirt patches. Sorry to give such a bad review love the course otherwise.

Chula Vista golf course
Had a friend come into town and was really wanting to experience California golfing. Sorry to say but the course was very rough. The greens were bumpy and sandy, the fairways were very dead and or under maintenance. I will say this course has potential and due to Covid it could be why things weren’t looking so nice. Keep this course maintained and I would consider trying it again.

Good value
Overall it was a good experience but $30 for the cart was a little too expensive in my opinion

Course is in terrible shape
Wow. So sad to see what happened to a great layout. Absolutely terrible shape. Almost unplayable. Didn’t even advertise one hole is under maintenance. Had us in the same cart even though we don’t live together !
Truth
Usually I’m not a review guy and I’m not out to hurt anyone. This course was in the worst condition I could’ve possibly imagined. Through the first 4 holes the sprinkler systems dumped water onto the tee boxes. Fairways and even the greens. I understand having issues with staffing from covid but I’ve also played about 7 different courses for around the same price that were in amazing condition. But it wasn’t just the sprinklers it was the whole entire course. It looked like it had been destroyed by children. I won’t be playing there again.
Worth it
After noon the price to play is usual half of the daily costs and it’s totally worth it. There are a lot of grounds under repair, I play here pretty frequently and they have made great progress fixing them.

Not the greatest
Tee off at 10 am and sprinklers were on and spraying the tee box and immediate fairway at least until the 13th hole. Loads of puddles from over water, tons of sand on greens. A couple confusing bunch of holes. Center Fairway shots sometimes ended in mud or deep grass or dirt.

What a shame!
What a shame!
Played Chula vista for the first time in over eight months probably. I used to play every Sunday morning in the 90s. I would go to the restaurant have steak and eggs for breakfast and then play 18 holes with a friend of mine every Sunday morning. Course was in good condition the greens were always good back then. But boy have times changed and for the worst. The condition of the course is the worst I’ve ever seen and the worst I’ve ever played on. Goodbye Chula Vista.

The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't have to wait at all; it was great. Also, the facilities were clean and well kept.

Need of attention
This course has deteriorated drastically. Only played to practice shots. Very few good lies on the fairway and bumpy poor greens. Seems like the course is being left to die.
