About
There are 27 holes of championship golf at Blacklake Golf Resort, allowing golfers to mix and match to suit their preference and skill level. The holes are divided into three nines: the Canyons, Oaks, and Lakes, that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Located on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, each nine takes its name from the rugged landscape. The Lakes/Canyon combination strikes a good balance between being challenging and player friendly. The front nine is more player friendly, starting off with a confidence-boosting par 3 and with fairways that are wide and forgiving. It's rather long, though, and therefore not to be underestimated. The back nine tumbles across undulating terrain, incorporating elevated tee boxes that overlook the lush fairways below. The various vistas and valleys invite refreshing sea breezes to keep you cool.

GREAT TIME
The course was a lot of fun to play. It was challenging but not so difficult that we couldn't enjoy it. The greens were particularly challenging and could have been in better shape.

Don't tell anyone how nice we were treated by the head pro and staff. Loved our day.

Not bad on a hot deal
Conditions vary. The course is not always well maintained but pace of play is good and well worth the money on a hot deal.
Great courses
The course was in greet shape, and the service is even better, From the guys in the pro shop to the Marshall's and the bar, the service was super friendly

It is a very good course I would recommend it to all golfers young and old it like playing three golf course at one time its great
Ok for the cost
This course has 3 nines. We booked the two that we like (Canyon and Oaks) When we checked in, we were told that we had to play the Lakes course. I would have played some where else if I knew that. This is the second and last time that has happened.
The greens sux
Won't play again! Many very nice courses close by.
Three courses to choose from.
Given the shortage of water the course was in good condition. This facility has three 9 hole courses, the "Oaks" greens were in the worst shape. But playable. I will play this course again.
golf now at Blacklake
Course in pretty good conditions. Greens were in very good shape and rolled true if struck well. Tee box very very poor with long grasses and divots thru out. But teeing it up and swinging away didn't hurt game. Fairways were in good condition. Weather was good and staff was running a First tee workshop and can only help keep the game alive for the next generation.
Black Lake
Fairways were acceptable but not great; a. Umber of the tee boxes were ungroomed and unlevel. Greens were in pretty good shape.

Great day to play Golf, never waited on a single hole.

We had two tee times with 7 players. A good time was had by all. Several holes were quite challenging with very different landscape between the two nines
Sunday labor day weekend
This course could much more than it is . For 60 $ plus the value was not there at best this a 45$ course , guess the extra 15$ was for being in the vicinity of pismo beach. area ? First thing I did was to belly up to the bar and ordered two bloodly Mary's at the tune of 18$ ? On a good day at best a 10$ value in my mind ? On the course the thing I notice after my first drive was there very few yardage markers and what it did have was diffacult to find and see ? All 18 holes were like this ? The cart had no GPS and no pin placement cards either , what they did have were the smaller flags on the pins that side up and down to indicate the pin placement and half of those weren't correct either?

We had a fun day golfing. Overall, the course was fine. We would come back.
Needs some TLC
Had to wait for cart #17 (Large Tournament finishing). Parking Brake did not work which was irritating on hills, (Law suit waiting to happen). Lakes were dry. Several greens were distressed. Mowing on fairways was very poor. Good layout, too bad it's in such poor condition. Compare to City Muni's. Pace of play good. Would have been quite upset if paid full Green Fee (Hot Deal). Sorry Black Lake, it was better the last time we played there.
surprising golf
It seems that the oak canyon (9 holes) gives the most interesting and challenging golf while the Lakes (back 9) are more conceiving and relaxing. Overall a good experience to be there with my family and enjoy a good afternoon.

We really enjoy the variety of courses, the course is in OK shape considering the drought, we always have fun there
