About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

Not worth the price
Like an average muni with resort green fees. The practice facility is very poor. The condition of the course was very average. I would not pay more than $45 for a round on this course and they’re weekend green fees are $75+. Just not worth the money. If you are in the area visiting like I was to play a round of golf by the coast don’t waste your time here. Just pony up and play monarch dunes or cypress ridge. I will not be playing here again. Wish I would have known this before booking my tee time at the central coast.

Needs lots of work
Fairway grass is thin to none. Greens look like they’re maintained only weekly. Slow pace of play. Had other golfers pick up my ball on two different holes - scoundrels. The homes and vegetation around the course are lovely. Major issue with gophers on the Oaks.

Could be a good course but lots of clover is not my view of a fairway

Good first experiwnce
First time playing here. Staff at the shop was very friendly. Breakfast burrito was also very solid. Got stuck behind a slow group in front of us but it happens. Overall good experience here.
