About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Great course
Layout is interesting and challenging enough to keep you engaged. Course is in great shape minus a few areas (nothing major, just common stuff with public courses). The hazard areas could use some clearing/thinning. Staff is very friendly, range in great shape (heavily used), bar staff is friendly. The only drawback is a limited selection of drinks/food at the bar afterwards.

Average Course
The course has some gimmicky holes and there is damage/loss to portions of about half the greens. The range and putting green were in good condition.

Members and Staff are Terrible
The people who play here are the most arrogant, overrated golfers I’ve ever met. Most of the time the staff is rude! Bar staff is amazing and more than friendly.

Great course
Really fun course. Challenging, but fun layouts. Very spread out though, expect your round to take awhile as many of the holes are far from each other.

Great course with nice staff!
Fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Greens mostly in great shape but a bit slow. Some fungus damage. Carts are touchy with gas pedal. Still one of my favs in the upstate!

Good track
This is always a good track. I do like the setup of this course. There are a few holes out here that really need some attention. I’ve visited a few times and they need some help each time I’ve been here. All in all this place is so nice. It’s a challenge with great payoffs. Great value with a great time each time I’m here.
