About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

No coolers
I bring a cooler with water in it when I play golf but this course will not let you take coolers and they don't have any water on the course. To me this seems like they are trying to gall'd you into buying their beverages when all I want is to be able take water on the course with me.
Really good
Played at River Falls for the first time in about a year. I really enjoyed my round. I paid $42 for a Saturday afternoon round. The course was not crowded at all so I zipped around at a good pace. The course layout is awesome, and honestly one of the hardest Ive played. There are alot of really narrow holes, and approaches with absolutely no place to miss or it just drops off into oblivion. Alot of good elevation changes and a nice mix of long, short, and dogleg holes. If I were being picky, I could only complain about the greens. They were in good shape, but were painfully slow in my opinion. There is a really nice bar/grill that was much busier than the course itself. If you are in the area, its certainly worth a play, but if its your first time dont expect to shoot a great score with the number of blind shots, elevation changes, drop offs etc....

Very nice
The course was well maintained, scenic and well paced. This purse for me was challenging but fair. The greens were true and well kept. Can’t wait to play again.

A Good day for 14 holes
Course is in good shape with a few low spots wet from rain to days prior. Required moving the ball once or twice. Greens are excellent, after you get the feel for the zoysia. A good lay out in the rolling hills, with a couple unique shots on both front and back side. Comfort level increases after several rounds on these holes. Pace of play was very good until I joined a single on number 13 and pace came to a halt. My new partner said he did not see this foursome of seniors during the entire front nine. Suspected they went in at the turn and lost their spot? I had to go around them and play a couple holes coming in due to a time constraint. Pro shop pro greeted and was flexible for my tee time.

Good COurse
This is a great course for the value, especially on the weekdays after 12pm when it is $30. Not sure I would pay the $45 they are asking for the weekends however, it is a solid design but you can tell the course is past its prime, all in all a good course for the money but don't get too excited.

Great value
I have played here several times. The Fall is best for the value, course conditions and pace of play. The course was in excellent condition even though we were in drought conditions. The course is tough but fair.

Not a better value in the state!!
This track is absolutely great! Excellent layout, that plays tough and very fair for players of all caliber. The greens were in great shape, the only issue I saw on the greens was the amount of divots. Outside of that issue, I cannot explain how beautiful this course is!!
I have yet to play another course for $30 that was as beautiful and serene as River Falls. I will be bringing every guest I have visit to this course!!

Beat my son
Course in great shape. Overall I did not play well but beat my son for first time in 2 years. Paired up with two guys, Ashley and Randy. Good fun, watched some bad and good shots. Drank a few beers on the back nine that improved my score by 8 shots. Had a birdie. Great Day!

Challenge
I always enjoy this track. It’s a challenge. I recommend you play it with someone who has played it a few times. Although most of the holes are visually right in front of you there are a few that will reach out and bite you. It is fun

Good course, good pro, cartpaths a war zone.
Fairways, greens, layout are great. I've never seen a course completely re-pave their cartpaths but this course needs it very, very badly. That and some improved tee boxes are the only drawbacks. The cartpath improvement would drastically improve word of mouth reviews.

Cart path
The course is fine. The cart paths need attention immediately. There’s a hole in the path at 14 that been there over a year.
