Great Day in Michigan
Course was in very good condition, greens putted true.
Our 3-some played 18 holes in just under 4 hours.
Two Different Nines
For those of you that have not played this course, the front and back are like day and night. The front is short, even from the blue tees, with only a few places to get into big trouble. However, the back nine, even played from the white tees, will penalize you for slightly errant shots. Direction and the correct distance are needed for all dog legs.
Overall the course was in the best condition that I have seen in the 20 years it has been open. Greens were true and faster than normal. I will be back again a few times before the season is over.
Always worth the drive
I like playing here especially during mid afternoon. Usually the course is empty and it's a fast play. However, the past two times I played here, the starter treats me like i'm ten years old. Total weirdo!
GREAT value for a nice course.
I've played this course many, many times, and I have never walked away disappointed. In my opinion, it is the best value in the area. The price they charge is very fair, and it's easy to agree when you get on the course. The greens are usually in very good condition, and the fairways/rough are always in great shape. Visually, the Links is great. Very scenic. It is not the most challenging course, but it's far from boring. No two holes look the same, and the back 9, which is tighter and more wooded, gives you a very different look than the front, which is a bit more open. Really enjoy both the 9th and 18th... fun holes to get back to the clubhouse.
Haven't always had the best service there, but it is good more times than not. My other gripe would be the tee box on hole 13 (I BELIEVE it is 13 I think). The tee shot is in the middle of a marsh, which means you're hitting off a platform with artificial grass, and a couple of poorly kept strips of real grass. Not sure there is away around it really, but it is just a sore thumb in an otherwise wonderful course.
That aside, I would very much suggest playing here.
Awesome coarse
Course was in excellent condition.the staff was excellent very friendly and helpful.Food was great!!! The pro nick was very helpful class a course in my opinion.i was behind two foresome made pace of play a little slow
This course has great features
I enjoyed it I dislike the Rangers but the inside staff is very helpful and knowledgable
Decent Course
Fun layout with nice rolling greens but don't expect country club like conditions and some of the tee boxes and fairways were pretty shoddy (bare dirt spots, weeds). I can't remember, but one tee box was literally artificial mats. Back in the 90's this course was top-notch but nowadays I'd only play with an extremely low golfnow hotdeal.
Course is in great shape
Always enjoy playing here
Course is in great shape
Front plays easier than back
Nice Surprise
I enjoyed the course. Not very long but some interesting holes. Greens were in good shape. The staff was very friendly. The only negatives I could find was you have to walk across the street to the driving range, you cannot take your cart, and the fairways needed to be cleaned, clumps of grass from the mowers were common. Overall enjoyed the course and will go back.
Two Very Different Nines
The front is wide open, while the back is very tight.
Depending on time of the year the back can have a lot of biting bugs. Bring Off or equivalent.
Greens ran true.
Great course and price is good.
Hidden gem of a course that has some very challengeing holes. My friend told me about this course a few years ago and try to get back at least 4 to 6 times a season.
Great Value Nice Atmosphere
Great Value and the greens are in really good shape. Staff is courteous.
A wonderful coiurse
This is a great golf course--one of mine and my wife's favorites. Very scenic (back nine), excellent maintenance, a great golf experience--tee positions for all skill levels (keep an eye open for foxes and deer!)
Challenging Course
There should be more signs to direct you to the next hole on #2
Good otherwise rain
Because of last night thunderstorm rain, the stream was flooded.
And mosquitoes were too many.
But, this course is good, I like this.
Short Hitters - Play from the Whites!
Played the course for the 1st time. I elected to play the blue tees - a mistake for this Senior golfer. 6 holes have significant carries (170+) over wetlands. Course was in great shape. The only criticism I have is that the 67 billion mosquitos living in the wetlands were a major distractor!
Two Courses in One
This is a fun course. The front nine is significantly easier than the back.
We got stuck behind a very slow foursome, so the pace was bit frustrating. That can happen anywhere.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
