Great course
The course was in great shape especially for fall golf, the greens were in excellent condition
Poor customer service
Golf course empty arrive 20 minutes before tee time and attendant insisted I could not tee off until my tee time. Attendant made it clear because I booked on golfnow that I could not tee off early.
First time!
My best friend, wife and I all played this course for the first time. It was in ideal shape, you can score well and the price was perfect!
Great day off
The greens and fairways were in very good condition. I had a very enjoyable afternoon! Thanks
The course has a nice natural setting
The course is a good layout for the average golfer. The staff and manager have always been polite and helpful. A good for your value and they have some good specials.
Perfectly Manicured
Overall excellent facility. Large clubhouse friendly waitstaff. Course is very well maintained. My round was somewhat dampened by being told at least three times that the carts where due in at 08:45. When I checked in early, I was told they are running on time and the carts are due off the course by 08:45 pm. This puzzled me a little since I was playing as a single and arrived early for my round. At least twice while on the course I and others where approached by staff and told the same thing. The gentleman even said you may not finish, but did not offer an alternative. I was not playing on a twilight rate. If you charge for a round let the customer finish the round.
Great Course
I was paired up with a guy. we had a bunch of fun. The course was well maintained. I had to get adjusted to the speed of the greens. They were a little fast for me. There are a couple of blinds shots, but that was okay. If you get a hot deal on golfnow then it is definitely worth the 20$.
Great Day in Michigan
Course was in very good condition, greens putted true.
Our 3-some played 18 holes in just under 4 hours.
Two Different Nines
For those of you that have not played this course, the front and back are like day and night. The front is short, even from the blue tees, with only a few places to get into big trouble. However, the back nine, even played from the white tees, will penalize you for slightly errant shots. Direction and the correct distance are needed for all dog legs.
Overall the course was in the best condition that I have seen in the 20 years it has been open. Greens were true and faster than normal. I will be back again a few times before the season is over.
Always worth the drive
I like playing here especially during mid afternoon. Usually the course is empty and it's a fast play. However, the past two times I played here, the starter treats me like i'm ten years old. Total weirdo!
GREAT value for a nice course.
I've played this course many, many times, and I have never walked away disappointed. In my opinion, it is the best value in the area. The price they charge is very fair, and it's easy to agree when you get on the course. The greens are usually in very good condition, and the fairways/rough are always in great shape. Visually, the Links is great. Very scenic. It is not the most challenging course, but it's far from boring. No two holes look the same, and the back 9, which is tighter and more wooded, gives you a very different look than the front, which is a bit more open. Really enjoy both the 9th and 18th... fun holes to get back to the clubhouse.
Haven't always had the best service there, but it is good more times than not. My other gripe would be the tee box on hole 13 (I BELIEVE it is 13 I think). The tee shot is in the middle of a marsh, which means you're hitting off a platform with artificial grass, and a couple of poorly kept strips of real grass. Not sure there is away around it really, but it is just a sore thumb in an otherwise wonderful course.
That aside, I would very much suggest playing here.
Awesome coarse
Course was in excellent condition.the staff was excellent very friendly and helpful.Food was great!!! The pro nick was very helpful class a course in my opinion.i was behind two foresome made pace of play a little slow
This course has great features
I enjoyed it I dislike the Rangers but the inside staff is very helpful and knowledgable
Decent Course
Fun layout with nice rolling greens but don't expect country club like conditions and some of the tee boxes and fairways were pretty shoddy (bare dirt spots, weeds). I can't remember, but one tee box was literally artificial mats. Back in the 90's this course was top-notch but nowadays I'd only play with an extremely low golfnow hotdeal.
Course is in great shape
Always enjoy playing here
Course is in great shape
Front plays easier than back
Nice Surprise
I enjoyed the course. Not very long but some interesting holes. Greens were in good shape. The staff was very friendly. The only negatives I could find was you have to walk across the street to the driving range, you cannot take your cart, and the fairways needed to be cleaned, clumps of grass from the mowers were common. Overall enjoyed the course and will go back.
Two Very Different Nines
The front is wide open, while the back is very tight.
Depending on time of the year the back can have a lot of biting bugs. Bring Off or equivalent.
Greens ran true.
Great course and price is good.
Hidden gem of a course that has some very challengeing holes. My friend told me about this course a few years ago and try to get back at least 4 to 6 times a season.
Hi Doug,
Thanks for sending us some feedback. I was the person who checked you in and want to explain why I couldn’t let you tee off as early as you would have liked.
Your tee time was at 8:56am and you arrived at the course at 8:20am. You were also booked alongside another golfer at 8:56. If I let you play as a single at 8:20am you would have been playing through the twosomes and foursomes that were booked between 8:20am and 8:56am. Secondly, the golfer who also booked at 8:56am would also go out as a single. That would be two golfers having very slow rounds and not having a good experience, not to mention the larger groups would have to wait to let the two of you play through.
I did keep an eye on your round and from what I recorded you were still able to tee off early. You were in the tee box at 8:42am and hit your drive at 8:45am. You made the turn at 10:14am and finished your round at 11:54am. 3:09 for 18 holes is a very good pace and the reason you were able to play at a good pace is because of how we manage the tee sheet, which is the reason I couldn’t let you play early.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the situation any further, please feel free to call the pro shop and ask for Nick. We strive to create a great experience for all of our golfers and I hope you are be able to come visit us again.
Best Regards,
