About
LakeRidge Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones course that has consistently been voted the "Best of Reno" ever since it first opened in 1969. Though the course sits less than five miles from downtown, the surrounding mountains provide a tucked-away feel. There are some stunning views from the elevated tees but don't get too distracted, this challenging course demands your attention. Mature trees tower over the fairways but they are thankfully wide enough to offer a little room for error. Water comes into play frequently and there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along the undulating greens. Accuracy is essential at LakeRidge Golf Course. The signature hole is the par-3 15th. This tee sits atop a rocky ridge that is perched 140 feet above Lake Stanley. You'll be playing downhill to an island green on this challenging but scenic hole.

Great Course
Considering it is still winter, with snow on the ground, the course was in good shape with some fast greens. The view of snow capped mountains added the extra flare. The only thing I regret was not hitting from the men's tee on that beautiful par three overlooking the lake and island green. The blue tees was literally at the bottom of the hill which took away the fun for me. Perfect for many, but I like the challenge of trying to hit land from the top of the hill. I had a lot of fun with guys I played with. I will play this course again.
Winter golf beware
Paid for a 18 hole tee time there was a frost delay of an hour and unable to play back 9.
The 19th hole wasn’t open for frost delay
Pace of play was very good.
Most friendly accommodating course.
If in Reno this is a.must!! The staff. “Everyone” were so friendly and welcoming!
We will make a special trip from Seattle and Phoenix
To play here again.
Challenging but great variety of holes.
Joyful day.
Everything was perfect day for golf but my score. Green was a bit fast than my home course speed but I was ok’d after front nine. Will play again someday. Plaid green tee.
Too slow 2 and hours to play 9 holes
Great friendly staff Cart workers very polite Howvwr 9 holes 2 and 1/2 hour waiting every shot with two groups in tee box is unacceptable

Really wanted this to be better
First let me say, I got a hot deal and for that price, the value was worth it.
Now for the course, its a great layout and normally in great condition but this day, they were watering on every hole and it was like playing in the mud all day. None of us could understand the reasoning behind mid day watering in 95 degree heat but I'm sure they had thier reasons. It really brought the quality of conditions down and was the main reason for the 3 in conditions rating.
Ill be back but hopefully they water in the early morning or evening.
Terrible slow day
How do you let a group of 5 go out in the middle of the a busy day during summer and not monitor them at all. We had to wait 10 plus minutes on every tee box. Not only should a 5 some not be playing but they are slow too. Plus we only saw the beverage cart 1 time on hole 3. If you were going home so early, you should let people know. Bad experience.
Great Course but no Cart Girl
Great course but the play was slow and no cart girl the entire round. Tee time was 2:36 and it was hot.
The staff was excellent, just hot and thirsty. Glad I brought a couple bottles of water.
