LakeRidge Golf Course

Always enjoy playing Lakeridge. Back nine was a little backed-up today but still fun.

It was an excellent golfing experience! The course is in great shape and the staff members are great.

Excellent Course . The hole 15 is the best hole that I had played. I played with my son and he liked the greens. We recommend to play this Course

It's the little things that Lakeridge has and does that make all the difference, and it's also a few little things that are the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars.

The Good: Convenient layout for virtually everything, parking is right near carts and clubhouse and bathrooms, which leads right up to the driving range, when you want to line up for tee'ing off, the putting green and chipping green are both right near the 1st Tee, so it's extremely fluid and convenient. Snack Cart came around 3 times while we were playing, which was awesome. Course conditions were very good, not perfect, but as close as you can expect in Reno, especially given the strange weather we've had the last month. The challenging holes were challenging, the breathers were fun and a nice ego boost, and the fact that we actually saw a marshal a couple times checking on things was a huge plus (my friend and I have had issues with groups in front of us on other courses a lot this summer). They also have those electronic distance trackers on the carts and usb hub for charging your phone, etc. (Bring your cable).

My only real complaints are few: One is that there some long stretches without water fountains, and it gets really hot in the afternoon (Or I may have just missed them, in which case maybe some signs showing where they are at would have helped?). Also, I never saw any wind flags or anything along those lines, which would have been really useful on a couple holes (especially 15, I had the distance, but the wind carried it to the water). And lastly, given the "over and under the road" layout of the course, the course card should really have a small map guide or possibly on the electronic ball tracker, there were two times we weren't sure where to go for the next hole and it took us a minute to figure it out. :P

Altogether though, if it were possible I would probably give it 4.5 stars. I will definitely play there again, as soon as possible.

Love this course for Reno..one of the few with old tree growth..nice greens...fairly fast and rolled nicely...good pace of play in the afternoons but watch for tournaments and club days...like the RTJ SR design...lot's of optical games here have to think your way around....best par 3 anywhere for the signature hole....lot's of great views and it's right in the middle of town...mats on the range but nice chipping and putting greens by the first hole

You can have a very pleasant round and day here. The fairways are in great shape, greens perfect with easy approaches in, greenside bunkers are fantastic and you can hit the "PRO" shot out of them. Very aesthetic and the views of Reno are excellant.

I love the physical layout of this course.
The greens present a challenge to read. And that is one reason I will return. In addition, it 's location is secluded and has a feeling of privacy. You really feel like you are getting away from it all and entering a hide away.

One of the greenest courses in northern Nevada. Greens are quick and rolling smooth. Had a great time

I would've paid the $85 for the weekday/afternoon tee time because I was on vacation. The $45 price through golf now made it worth it. Greens/course were in good shape.

This course is absolutely beautiful, probably the nicest public course in Reno. The staff was not very friendly. I booked a tee time a couple days in advanced only to find out that the tee time slot I purchased shouldn't have been open due to a couple of tourneys they were having that day. The pro shop tried to put us out at Wolf Run g.c. but they were booked solid too. So they squeezed us in the middle of a senior, scramble, shotgun starting tourney. Long story short, we had to wait an average of 10 mins to tee off every hole and the round took 6 hours because of slow play from the tourney players. During the last 7 holes the Marshall was trying to rush everyone because of another tourney they were having later that afternoon. FYI, I've never had this problem before. Now that I think of it, I've never played this course on a weekday previously. That being said, I'll only play here on a weekend when there's no tourneys.

Challenging and fun! Pace was slow, but didn't bother us - we had a good time and everyone was friendly.

The pro shop guy was not at all friendly. Play bogged down after five holes and we waited on a few holes after that, not terrible. Our biggest problem was getting to the course as the "Get Directions" link on the app took us to a house about 15 minutes from the course. Would still recommend Lakeridge, good value. The 19th hole had good service and excellent food.

skiped 6 holes due to slow play and extreamly over crowed. no marshall on course. was not fun. will not play this course again.

The course was in overall great conditions. The only problem that the greens were pretty slow. But other than that, is was very good.

I was in town for my daughter's volleyball tournament at the Convention Center. I picked this course because it is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course. It was only 5 minutes away. Good layout and the greens were in excellent shape. I especially liked the signature par 3 island green on the back. I only wished the weather was better. It was one of the coldest rounds I ever played. It started snowing after we finished. It was a slow round because there was a tournament in front of us.

Very green, very scenic, greens in great shape and same for the fairways. Gave it a 4 for pace of play only because there were people in front we waited on and people beind waiting on us--so not exactly perfect but not inching along too slowly. I'll be playing there again.
