About
Located next to several residential areas, the golf course at the Apache Wells Country Club was designed with seniors in mind. With that consideration, the course is mostly flat to make it an easily walkable. The course was originally only a nine-hole course but in 1966, Milt Coggins designed the back nine holes. Trees line many of the fairways and there is also a housing development that runs alongside the fairways. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. Being so close to a residential area, there are many out-of-bounds stakes on both sides. Apache Wells Country Club is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October.

Amazing conditions
Best course conditions in the area and it’s not even close. Played 20 courses in maricoopa recently and nothing at this price point compares. Awesome course conditions.
Great course anytime of year
I have played this course during various seasons and its always worth the money. Layout is great. No water hazards. Well maintained course.
Fun course
My wife and I enjoyed our round at Red Mountain. The course is in pretty good shape. A couple of holes could use some work in terms of repairing water leaks and getting rid of weed growth.
Not impressed with course allowing 5 people on a tee time.
This was the first time playing this course. Our tee time was 8:15 shotgun. When arriving at the course there was no explanation of how the shotgun worked. We were told we were on hole 15 and the B team. We went to hole 15 and nobody was there. Waited for a while and then finally decided to tee off. Suddenly 5 carts came around the corner. The A team had 5 men and we were only a 2-some. I don’t know why they allow 5 people in one tee spot. And then a 2-some after that. We were waiting a minimum of 5 min.on every tee box, plus waiting in the fairway to hit. Asked the Marshall why they allowed a 5-some and he said that it was normal.
Shotgun with no warning??
This is my 2nd time playing Apache Wells. I like this course a lot. Was recommended by a friend I work with. The only gripe I have about playing this course for the 2nd time is getting a notification when I got to the course and checking in that it was a shotgun start. I've never experienced in my life a daily fee golf course doing this way of starting. I wasn't truly upset by it but a little warning when I booked the time on golf now would have been appreciated. Otherwise the course is in great shape and looked fantastic.
Great shape after over seed
Course was in great shape after over seeding, They do shotgun starts so that pretty cool. I prefer to start at 1 finish on 18 but no biggie. Well worth the money
The course had new grass and looked amazing. Still breaking the fairways in.
The course had new grass and looked amazing. Still a bit challenging but truly a valuable asset for Golfers. I recommend the course to everyone and enjoyed playing there. I played with a few golfers that belong to rhe club and they were wonderful and enjoyable players.
