Fountain of the Sun Country Club

My first time playing here. Loved it. Staff was very friendly. Driving range, chipping and putting areas are close to each other. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition, especially considering the hot AZ heat we have had. Sand traps were a little hard. No coolers or beverage service cart (not a complaint, just info). What we really liked was for a short course you still get to use a variety of clubs rather than irons/putter every hole with 2 par 5's and some longer par 3's, . If you are in the mood for a shorter course that you get to use driver, woods and irons, I recommend.

The course was in good shape for how hot the weather has been. The person in golf shop was friendly & helpful. Nice executive course.

Only down side is no coolers on carts, wish I would’ve known! Not crowded great pace.

Best experience of my 7 course history in PHX area this year. It plays short but I love iron play. Did not loose a single ball. Perfect for me. Could use a couple signs to help you get from 9 to 10 holes.

Course was shorter than I thought it would be...(on me since I didn’t look at the par or yardage)... shirt course, lot of par threes. But, good condition and pick of play.

The greens, while a little slow, were in excellent shape. Hardly a ball mark anywhere. Tee boxes are in very poor shape. Overall, nice short course (par 63). Surprised the restaurant wasn’t open. Summertime without a cool place to sit is pretty disappointing.

lush grass and thick turf base, unusual this time of year, front nine was well shaded so fairways and greens were soft, greens a little slow, back nine had fewer trees, more sun, firmer and faster, also longer. Good variety of holes, rewards straight hitter, not long hitter.

Very good conditions on the greens (looks like they aerated and light sanded about a week ago) .... even the rough was green and thick! We played the whole course in 2 hr. 15 min with no other golfers in sight the whole morning (Teed off around 9:45). The two par 5's were a nice addition to find on an executive course.

Really well kept course. Will test your irons and let’s you pull out the driver at some. Will definitely come back and play

Way to tune up your approach game with both short and long iron par 3’s. Even a few holes to let the big dog eat. It was fun and played fast in 3 hours. Couldn’t beat the price at $25. We’ll be back.

Second time playing this course. Pace of play is a bit slow but great course to boost your confidence with your irons

Lots of shade around tee boxes. Course was in great shape.

Played with my son who is 11 and we both enjoyed it. I am an 8 handicap and enjoyed working on my shorter irons.
