Great Course - Fun Day!
This was my first time playing this course. I met someone at this course that was staying in Myrtle Beach so that we could split driving time. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this course on GolfNow. It had a southern, old-school golf course feel that we loved. Greens were in perfect shape, very large and had some slope to them in places. Fairways and rough were in good shape considering our recent drought. We did not have a group in front of us and were able to play our round in 3 hours flat while still taking our time. The back 9 was more challenging than the front, but the course has a fun layout. Go play this if you are in the area, it's a gem!
A visit to an old favorite
I used to play the Wellman Club before it went fallow. It is great to see it return. I really enjoyed the round.
Greens are excellent
Played by my self and the fairways were just growing in but they keep the course in very good shape and it's a difficult but fair layout and the greens are in great shape. This course is well worth the time to get there and no stress to play. Put it on your list for a place to play in the Myrtle Beach area.
First time player here
My GPS didn’t work as there system was wiped out. It was cart path only so I wasn’t happy about the course but I can’t wait to play it again after they get there GOS system reset. There were some wet areas but 90 percent of the fairways were dry.
Greens Will Challenge Everyone
Wow shocked what a beautiful course,will play again in green grass weather,snack bar makes basic sandwiches and has chips,crackers, drinks.This course has deep bunkers guarding every green,and the greens are huge and multi tier.Overall well worth my time otw to the beach.
Hidden gem!
First time playing Wellman. Hadn't even heard of it before a friend recommended it. What a hidden gem. Nice layout, course is in great condition. Greens are fantastic. Not a bad spot to be found. Bunkers well manicured. Super friendly staff!
Well worth the almost hour drive. Will definitely be back!
This is a beautiful place
I got a tee time at 940 the course starter Tom was very friendly and so was the lady at the check in. This course is one of the best courses I have played in a while and it is in excellent condition. Challenging but do your self a favor and play the right tee box and you'll enjoy it more. I will definitely play there again and will be happy to talk it up.
Cart paths
Cart paths are rough. Other than that greens are smooth and fast. Good times
