Wellman Golf Club

Course was in excellent condition. Only complaint was that the cart paths need to be repaved (especially since all carts must adhere to their 90 degree rule).

We’ve been wanting to hit Wellman since they reopened as part of our regular Myrtle Beach golf trip each year. Finally able to as we stayed at the legends and where as close as we would ever be to Wellman. Still was almost an hour drive there and back. Grass was still coming in when we played, which made the lies a little thin, but the ball ran forever. Layout was interesting and fun, especially number 11 – even though we were afraid to go for it in two. Staff was super friendly. Pace was great. Price was great for a “beach” course. Glad we made it! Would like to come back and play in the summer when the grass has fully come in.

Let me start by saying I’m visiting from up north visiting family. Was looking for a place to play, and this showed up with a price of $16.97 with cart. That is not a misprint. I read some reviews, and booked it for 2. This is by far the Best deal I have ever seen on Golf Now. The course was in great shape. The cart path was shaky, but greens and fairways were very nice. The people I had to deal with were very friendly and informative, especially the red headed worker in the snack area. Most kind. My recommendation is to NOT hesitate to grab this deal. Even if it went to $40 with a cart. You won’t be disappointed.

Nice layout, greens in good conditions, Very plaisant to play. Very good value for money. Wish that Myrtle beach golf courses were not so greedy with excessif green fees

Like the title says, it’s a great course for the price, but the pace of play is horrible. Not just the time that I’m writing about now but on multiple occasions I have played there. Played here two days back to back and on both days there was multiple groups of foursomes that teed off at the same time. They have 4 to 5 holes backed up. The last day I played I couldn’t make it the whole 18 hole and quit after 9. If you have the time and patience to play here then it great for the price.

Long drive from Myrtle but a nice course for my wife and I. Played in 3.5 hrs on a Friday at noon. Grass was still dormant, but greens rolled nice.

Always a good time. Course is in good shape and staff is always helpful.

Golf course in good condition, best greens we have played so far, everything is in good condition, with a few holes testing your judgement and skill. Only negative, it is far from Myrtle Beach....

Decided to take the 50 minute drive from Myrtle Beach as a change of pace. What a great decision. While not having the amenities of most courses this was an excellent track! We played the full 18 in 3 hours. Lots of interesting holes. The greens were large, receptive, lots of undulation and fast. The fairways were in good shape. All of this for a $30 green fee. Can’t beat it!

The cart paths are horrible and really gave the kidneys a work out, and also the golf carts. It's no wonder why there were so many walkers.

The course was in good shape, with large undulating greens, that rolled fast until the sprinklers came on. The back is tougher with a par five semi circle around the lake, really nice hole. The price is amazing compared to M. B. but it's an hour to drive,, and apart from cartpath, worth it

Always good at the Wellman Club! Course is good and pace of play excellent. Staff I great, especially Leslie. A friendly face and a real asset for the Wellman Club !

Wellman has some of the most interesting and challenging greens I’ve ever seen. They were in good condition. The rest of the course was coming out of the dormant season and was “close” to being really good. Nice routing. Well worth a visit!
