Great course at incredible value
Love this course. Only downside is the cart paths, but the staff is working to fix that.
A wonderful golf day.
This was my first time at Wellman Club, but it won't be my last. Fairways were in great shape. Green were full, no bare spots. They were a bit slow, could have used a mowing, but we have had a lot of rain. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Even the Lord gave me an overcast day. So the weather was even great. Could not have asked for more from a day at the links.
Great greens!
I recently played a course in Destin, FL that was no where near this green! Play was fast. I'll go again.
Favorite Place to Play
This is one of my favorite places to play. Worth the drive.
Just ok
The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is not one ball cleaner on the entire course. It was very hot and there weren't many watercoolers available. Worst cart path conditions I've ridden in many years. There were lots of groups going off hole number one so they were nice enough to let us start on hole 10.
Great Course
Been here twice and wish it was closer than an hour. Great conditions and layout. Challenging course with Great greens. Will definitely be back.
Away from the m.b. Crowd
Great little place away from the Myrtle Beach courses
Everything from tee ( tho a little hard) to green was very playable
Can't remember seeing any crabgrass in the fairways

Course was in excellent condition. Only complaint was that the cart paths need to be repaved (especially since all carts must adhere to their 90 degree rule).
Finally played Wellman!
We’ve been wanting to hit Wellman since they reopened as part of our regular Myrtle Beach golf trip each year. Finally able to as we stayed at the legends and where as close as we would ever be to Wellman. Still was almost an hour drive there and back. Grass was still coming in when we played, which made the lies a little thin, but the ball ran forever. Layout was interesting and fun, especially number 11 – even though we were afraid to go for it in two. Staff was super friendly. Pace was great. Price was great for a “beach” course. Glad we made it! Would like to come back and play in the summer when the grass has fully come in.
Best Deal Ever
Let me start by saying I’m visiting from up north visiting family. Was looking for a place to play, and this showed up with a price of $16.97 with cart. That is not a misprint. I read some reviews, and booked it for 2. This is by far the Best deal I have ever seen on Golf Now. The course was in great shape. The cart path was shaky, but greens and fairways were very nice. The people I had to deal with were very friendly and informative, especially the red headed worker in the snack area. Most kind. My recommendation is to NOT hesitate to grab this deal. Even if it went to $40 with a cart. You won’t be disappointed.
Good challenge
Nice layout, greens in good conditions, Very plaisant to play. Very good value for money. Wish that Myrtle beach golf courses were not so greedy with excessif green fees
