Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Fabulous choice

This course was in great shape. We had an hour rain delay and was a little worried it would be a soggy mess with cart path only. It was not green ran true a few spots had water but overall this is a must play

OAK CREEK is Great Condition But Normally Out of My Budget

The course was in excellent condition as usual. This course is usually out of my price range but I took a hot deal. Pleasure to play on course with tees, fairways and greens such as these. As with most R T Jones Jr courses, this course is difficult, challenging and has character, but not tricked up like some architects.

Great course run very well

First time playing Oak Creek, and very impressed. Course layout exceeded my expectations and was in excellent shape, bent grass greens ran true and fast.

Off course experience was excellent as well, excellent breakfast and Dylan was fun behind the bar. Can't wait to play it again.

Oakcreek CC is Great Value in Sedona

This Robert Trent Jones design is good for beginners and experienced players as well. The front nine is flatter and narrower so control is key. The back nine has more elevation change and has wider fairways. The course conditions are always good although the bunker sand texture and hardness varies. Friendly and helpful staff and nice grill/bar makes for a great value. The driving range is ok but could use a refresh as there are no greens to hit to.

Beautiful setting

Would definitely recommend this course to anyone visiting Sedona. The fairways are lush and greens run pretty too. Only advice is to stay out of the bunkers. They’re terrible…mostly in manicured dirt. Views around the entire course were breathtaking. There are even enough trees to shelter from the sun in the middle of the day.

We'll keep coming back!!

We host an event here every year for the Golfweek Amateur Tour. Heather and. the staff are always awesome and great to work with!! The course is always in great shape. This year was a little warmer but we had a great time as always and will continue to come back year in and year out!!
