Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Great Course...but

The course was in great shape and not overly punitive, and got a good rate of $99 on GolfNow. The fairways were wide enough to provide some forgiveness. Sand in traps was not great but playable. My only real complaint is when I went into the snack bar after nine and ordered a double Jack and diet coke and got charged $35. That's at least double what I have ever paid, even in fancy restaurants.

Nice place to play

This was a great course for a Hot Deal, I wouldn't pay full price. The only thing that was frustrating was the rate of play. It was slow! You can't beat the views or how nice the weather was. It was a perfect day to play!

Nice course

Course was in great shape. Cost was even with courses in area but a little bit high. Course was very well run as they had everything. A starter that cared and course manager that rode around a keep people at a good pace. Staff in pro shop very helpful and went over everything with you on arrival from where to get the carts to loading your clubs and where to get practice balls snd range. Very impressed overall.
