Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Staff and facility were great. The course design and greens were great. The bunkers....well, they need a lot of work. Pace of play was slow only because we had a shotgun start.

Great course with outstanding views.

Wow, what can I say. The views are spectacular and the course was in great shape. And one of the better Club 1 courses that we have played. Sedona itself is quite a wonder, and this is right up there with the level of awesome.

What a scenery, coming from Pennsylvania this is completely another world. The staff is great, everything goes well. Course is well kept.

Great course with beautiful views

Every time we go out, I golf this course. The views are amazing. As long as you pick the right tee boxes, you can have a challenge without frustrating yourself. As long as I continue to go to Sedona, I will always golf here.

Great course in Sedona

I played Oak Creek Country Club when we were visiting back in August of 2021. On the original day I was supposed to play, the weather forecast called for rain. When I called the clubhouse, they readily obliged my request to re-schedule the tee time for the next day.

When I arrived at the course, I chatted with a club member who spoke highly of the course. He informed me that the course was walker friendly. Inside the clubhouse the people were very welcoming. I asked in the club house if I could get a push cart, because I wanted to walk rather than ride. Again, they took care of my need.

I really enjoyed playing Oak Creek! The fairways were well manicured, and the greens in great shape. They were soft for approach shots, and smooth and quick when I putted.

Another plus of this course are the GREAT views of the rock formations! They can be distracting, but in a gorgeous way!

I will definitely play Oak Creek Country Club when we return to Sedona.

A Great Hideen Gem in Sedona. a great value for gold

A fun golf course by Robert Trent Jones Sr and Jr. Great staff. Fun to play. Great Professional in Heather Risk PGA. Every time we are in Sedona it is the course we play

No consideration for course work and the impact on a guest golfer.

I have played this course before and enjoy it. But this trip they charged a premium price when the clubhouse was closed, they were doing work on the course that impacted a couple holes, and w workers had no consideration for golfers. You can’t charge premium prices under those conditions. Next trip I will try the other courses.

Golf 2022

Played Oakcreek golf course in 2018 , we plan on going back next year and play it again. Staff & course was awesome. We have a group that travels around every year and been doing the trip for over 25 years. Sedona is a great golf destination.
