Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Not what I expected

Paid a discounted rate of $85 which isn't too bad for the area. Normal rate for the course is north of $100. Even at the discounted rate, I didn't feel the course justified the price. Layout is nothing special. Scenery is beautiful on most of the holes. Course was in excellent conditions except for the greens. Starter said that the greens played fast and didn't really hold. I was able to back up balls on most greens with my higher irons. But the speed of the greens was very slow on most holes. I would estimate they're running around a 5-6. Note, the roll is very good, the speed is difficult to get used to.

Canyon golf

The course layout was in great condition and the views were awesome! Almost threw my game away because of the grandeur of the canyons. You guys have to play this course in Sedona!

Magnificent Red Rocks

We played at 12:30 pm that was between regular play and twilight, Course is in perfect shape after recent rains. However, that made it play long. Wonderful views of the Red Rock Country. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The club house facilities were clean and neat.

Great course

This was our first golf experience in Sedona. I would definitely come back and play this course again. Course conditions were excellent. Greens were nice and slightly above average on speed. They had just recently punched the greens but they have already healed up. I rented a set of Srixon clubs that were fairly new. The only thing negative was the pace of play was slow. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Fun course to play, excellent condition

Even with heavy rain the night before, and previous nights of rain., We do dn’t have any shots out of wet or soggy areas. And believe me we didn’t hit every fairway. Course was in excellent shape, with some holes having fantastic backdrops to enjoy. Steady play, but we didn’t have to wait long. We finished right at 4 hours, enjoying the company and course all the way. Will definitely play again on future visits to Sedona. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Awesomeness

That says it all. Beautiful course, perfect tee boxes, fairways awesome and the greens just look at the headlines. Great friendly staff. If anything to pick on the sand traps were a bit packed in areas but hey just stay out of them. The scenery is awesome. Over just an awesome day.

So much fun.

Course is in great shape. Fairways, rough, greens, and bunkers all perfect,. Layout challenging but very playable. Staff friendly and helpful. Less than 3 hours for 18 holes,. Will definitely try to play again.

Course in excellent condition!

The course was in great shape. The Staff from Pro Shop, Starter, to Cart Barn we’re friendly & helpful. Play for a Monday was a bit slow, but to be expected during this summer vacation period. Played with a very nice couple from Phoenix, we had a great time! Would definitely recommend this course!
