Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Not up to expectations

The course wasn't bad, but for the price it was not what I was expecting. The greens were very fast, which wouldn't be too bad by itself, but the pin placement was extremely challenging. Most pins were very close to the edge of the green. Given the beautiful scenery of Sedona I would have expected more pretty holes, but it just kind of felt like a course through a community. Scenery only prominent on a few holes.

I think this course is more for the locals and regulars. We were there for the weekend and wouldn't recommend unless you can play again.

Overall not a bad course, but was not a very enjoyable round.

Great Course - Terrible Pace of Play

This course had amazing views and friendly staff. The course was in great condition. BUT the pace of play was absolutely atrocious. I had a 1:04 tee time and didn’t get to finish due to darkness. We got through 14 holes by 5:30. If you play here be out in front or plan on being there all day.

Fantastic Setting; VGood holes design; Friendly staff!

This course is marvelous!

First, for golfers of all levels it can be enjoyable and appropriately challenging based on the tees you play from. Greens were super fast and a bit tricky. Holes had some good design and use of the land.

Of course, this is Sedona; and there are amazing red rock views on almost every hole.

The Par 3 13th hole is really cool!

Excellent Course one of the Best

The course is in excellent condition, beautifully maintained with challenging greens!, a very friendly staff. The starters are an absolute delight reminding you of your starting time ; very friendly. Playing time is very reasonable. Heather, the GM should be proud.

The club could easily be rated in the top 5 in the state only if the food and restaurant were totally updated. The course is magnificent; play here; eat elsewhere!

Course is in great condition, grounds crew does an excellent job. Steven the beverage cart guy gets around the course to keep us hydrated, nice guy. Greens are fast so easy on those downhill putts!

Wonderful Experience

We live in Tucson and travel to Sedona several times a year. A MUST for us is playing Oakcreek CC. It is a wonderful golf course in excellent condition. The staff, and especially Heather the Pro, are very friendly and helpful. Greens are fast and challenging. We always have an enjoyable time at Oakcreek.

One of two in Sedona area

You have two choices for golf in Sedona both in Oak Creek Village area. Golf NOW gives you the best deal. Courses are good but not worth the money at full rack rate.
