Willowcreek Golf Course
About
Willowcreek Golf Course in Sun City has one regulation length 18-hole course, the Willowcreek Course, as well as one executive length course, the Willowbrook Course. The traditional layout of the Willowcreek Course features three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on four holes. The course is relatively flat but there are some minor rolling hills that cause uneven lies. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition on both courses and they are both considered very user-friendly. The Willowcreek Golf Course facility used to be private but it is now open to the public.

Great Midlevel course. Well maintained
- Well maintained -fun course -great course for Midlevel players and beginners alike - best course in Sun City area. -price to experience rating is easily a 5.
Try the course you won't be disappointed.
good day
all went fairly well BUT had to wait fairly long times between holes.. said course was busy.. with lots of peeps ! greens in good shape / fairways as well.
Friendly Staff
Course a great challenge for righthander who pushes or slices balls, as water comes into play on many holes on that side.
Slow Play
Many 5 player groups made for a 4:40 hr round on Saturday afternoon, but it is Suncity so most residents have no need to rush, but other players that drive to this location it makes for a long day
Do not advance to the right
Due to a concrete water canal that extends the length of the golf course, if you have a slice, or fade, to the right, you will be constantly challenged to prevent fishing balls out of the stream. Almost all the holes have to be played to the left since the slope of the course bears to the right. The greens are in excellent shape and the location of the pins are challenging. Very few of the greens are flat so almost every lie will test your ability to deduce the correct arc and speed of the putt.
Slow course
Great challenging course, but the pace of play is really slow.
Fun course to play
This was a fun course to play and was in good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Willowbrook, a fun course.
The staff was very friendly and that got us off to a good start. The course was in fine shape with a good variety of golf shots throughout the 18 holes with the greens being fast and in good shape.
Sat. golf
Very slow play! Need a ranger on course to speed up some of these slow people.
Hidden Gem
this course is always busy and now I know why. Magnificently kept fairways and greens, challenging pin placements and friends accommodating staff and players. Tucked into the Sun city neighbourhood, it can be unforgiving and rewards good play. Loved playing and cannot wit to do it again.
Pace of play
My biggest complaint is pace of play and the person who decided to schedule 5, five-somes. Like common, you wonder why the pace of play is bad.
Nice course!
Course was in pretty good shape. Very tough greens but nice and fast. My advice... stay below the hole!! Beware of very slow play because fivesomes are allowed.
Slow golf
Our tee time was 2:30, we weren't called to the tee box until 2:45 only to watch a twosome tee off before the foursome we were right behind. We finally got to the 9th 3.5 hours later! (Not a typo) ! We could take no more so we quit then. My dad politely informed to clubhouse only to be told "it's that time of year". I understand courses need to make money however 3 & a half hours for 9 holes is too much. It will be a long time before we return to Willowcreek.
Good value using Golfnow
Greens were fast but true. Tee shots on most holes need to favor the left side of the fairway, water hazzards run along the right sides on most fairways.
Slow pace of play
I was with 2 other guys and it took us 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes- I had paid for 18 holes but it was starting to get dark by the time we finished the first 9. The Coursr was very dry and we all got good roll on all fairway shots. Nice variety of holes on the front 9.
Challenging yet fun and not too difficult.
Willow Creek is my pick of all courses I have played around Arizona.
SLOW PLAY-FIVESOMES ALL OVER THE COURSE!
WE HAVE PLAYED WILLOWCREEK MANY TIMES IN THE PAST AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS PRETTY GOOD. YESTERDAY WAS A BIT DISAPPOINTING. THE COURSE WAS IN FAIR CONDITION OVERALL; THE GREENS IN GOOD SHAPE, HOWEVER THE FAIRWAYS WERE A BIT ROUGH, THE FRINGE AROUND MOST GREENS WERE AREOATED WITH TRACK AND GROVE PATTERNS THAT TOOK AWAY FROM THE FREE ROLL OF THE BALL. THE ROUCH IN A LOT OF AREAS WAS VERY HARD PAN WITH DRIED OUT GRASS IN MOST AREAS. WE HAVE SEEN WORSE BUT CERTAINLY HAVE SEEN THIS COURSE IN MUCH BETTER SHAPE.
THE BIGGEST ISSUE WERE ALL THE FIVESOMES THEY HAD SQUEEZED ONTO THE COURSE. IT TOOK 3 HOURS TO PLAY THE FRONT NINE WITH A TEE TIME FOR 2:07. THE ATTENDANT TOLD US AT CHECK IN THAT WE COULD THANK GOLFNOW FOR ALL THE FIVESOMES. SINCE WHEN DOES AN OUTSIDE AGENCY DICTATE TO THE COURSE HOW TO MANAGE THEIR TEE TIMES? THOUGHT THE COURSE HAD THE CONTROL OF TEE TIMES, SIZE OF GROUPS AND PACE OF PLAY......
pace of play was terrible
Arrived at the first par 3 to find 5 groups waiting on a fivesome on the green. Called the proshop to see if they had any suggestions----were told "I am alone in the pro shop and no marshall is on the course. I can do nothing"
