About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Pace
Glad to see staff was on course push problem golfers.
Horrible conditions and pace of play!
Save your time and money! Course was in bad condition. Hitting off of many dirt areas in the middle of fairway. A couple of bad areas on some greens. The worst part was pace of play. Over 3 hours to complete front nine. Skipped over a very drunk twosome on 10th hole to try and get ahead. Played the 11th hole only to get to a par three on the 12th and find three groups. One on the green and two waiting on the tee box. Turned around and went home! Very disappointed! Won’t be coming back!
Star to staff
Only real problem was threesome ahead of us was drunk and rude on the course. Better late than never but staff came came out to push them.
Pace of play nightmare
6 hour round. Backed up behind 3 groups on the second tee box already. 2 sets of twosomes in front of us who gave us attitude when we suggested they pair up to speed things up. Rangers checked in with us 3 times through the round, and completely ignored the complaints we had about the pace. We were at 3 hours after the 7th hole already. Instead one ranger decided to lecture us about 90-degrees with the cart (the fairways are basically dead and scalped). Any suggestion or question about pace of play was met with a “this is how it is” response. If you can’t manage a course to meet 4-hour pace of play, then reduce the tee sheet or hire Marshall’s that actually do their job. Not worth $10, and we weren’t the only ones on the course today who vowed not to come back. Really disappointing
Nice course
Play was good until we got to the tenth tee, they let a foursome of teenage boys go out on back nine in front of the twosome in front of us!! Really at 1:35pm? Backed up the hole back nine!!! Why?
Union Hills Bag drop
Impossible to get to bag drop the way parking is done, and you can't take carts into parking lot. For a senior who golfs with his wife this makes my starting experience difficult having to carry 2 bags.
Really enjoyed our round. Haven't played here since 2015. Love the layout.
Drinking Course
Don't go here if you are an avid golfer. Mud everywhere. Greens are like shag carpet. It's a course to save a buck and drink all day. If you want to party and are shooting 120 enjoy it. If you want to lower your handicap stay away.
Fast Round! Nice people
Was able to finish 18 in 2hrs 15 min.
Course in reasonable shape given the time of year. Like the layout. Friendly staff.
