About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Read some really bad reviews on this course and I just don't get why. Tee to green the course is great if your in the fairways. The rough is brown and barron, so hit the fairways. Bunkers had no sand.
Greens were fast and every putt has a break in it.
We enjoyed the layout of the course and the round of golf.
Rough…hard pan
Granted…stay in the fairway. Fairway moderately in shape. If not in the fairway there is nothing but hard pan. Sorry…at this point, not worth the gouged prices being charged.
Course could be in better shape
The greens were hard the ball didn't check up much. The tee boxes were uneven and off quiltered. Fairways were nice. Staff was very nice and professional. First time playing this course, will probably play again.
the good and bad
The fairways and green were in good condition but the rough and tee boxes were in poor condition. The clubhouse bathroom was dirty. This course has lost it's former glory and seems to be in disrepair. The bunkers have not been edged in sometime and there is grass growing up through the sand in the middle of some bunkers. There are many weeds in the dormant Bermuda grass.
No Marshalls to keep the pace of play up.
Greens are difficult and fun. We had a group of 4 in front of us that were extremely slow - we couldn't see the group in front of them as they would not keep up. Wish they would send out a marshal to keep the pace of play up. Overall I like the course but the pace of play can really drag.
Fun day
The course is well maintained. The greens were fast and challenging. Wide fairways. Water comes into play in several holes but easy to play around.
Not worth the money
The staff were wonderful but thats where the praise ends. This course is in terrible shape and for the money it 100% is not worth it. Save your money and play else where.
Friendly counter guy/starter. Very welcoming and gave us the important things a person needs to know first time here, checked us in quickly. Course seemed to be in average winter condition for Phoenix, greens were in great shape. Layout is a bit boring, but not terrible - every green slopes down from back to front. Carts could use some updating.
