Buck Creek Greens
Awesome layout, shame the greens were so poorly kept. Aerated but not dressed properly and lots of grass missing.....
Aberdeen Buck Creek Golf
Friendly staff, nice layout, but greens were horrible. Paid a premium price for lousy greens. Would not recommend.
Aberdeen is worth the money
I just played Aberdeen for the first time on 6/8. It had trained earlier in the day, so there was no roll in the fairway. The greens were slower than I am used to probably because of the rain. The course has many challenging holes and was in good shape. It's definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to people. I will definitely be playing this course again. Saw this guy on the woman's 17th tee box.
Slow play
Through no fault of the course pace of play was horrible. We were behind what was called Senior Amateur Tour, and the foresomes play on the greens was super slow. Too bad because we liked the course otherwise.
good times
the staff was helpful and friendly. the playing pace was a little slow and tores the end was slow. the course was in nice shape, and I would play there again
Golf Trip
What a great day. Perfect weather. The course was in great shape. I would have given it 5 stars, but some greens were inconsistent (slower). Overall the layout provides plenty of challenge and makes you make decsions. Overall the course was in much better shape than the courses we have seen on the strand.
We liked it so much we are playing it tomorrow.
Ohio vacationer
I enjoyed playing the course. It has a pretty layout. The greens were in a little bad shape in spots like they may have had seasonal problems. Friendly people. Payed on line and went right out on the course.
Needs time to return to glory
Aberdeen needs a break.. The work is showing although they just can get a break. After two floods this early summer has been cruel to this once challenging gem. Water is at a shortage and after 17 days without a drop of rain the course has seen extreme drought conditions. The irrigation ponds are at the lowest level I have ever seen. The fairways are almost bare and the greens are distressed. The greens look terrible but somehow they seem to roll fine. A testament to the hard work they are attempting to keep this course up.
Aberdeen is investing money in and it appears they are putting new greens on the Meadows course. The course will return but for now I must warn golfers to stay away. I recommend that if you are thinking about going drive in and get a quick look. If the grass is back give her a shot.
Game of 2 halves
Our 4 ball was really looking forward to Aberdeen and the first 9 the Highlands was really good, unfortunately on the 2nd 9 The Meadows was really disappointing, especially the layout, conditions and pace of play.
First time @ Aberdeen
Great day @ Aberdeen. Course was wet but over all in very good shape. I will be back.
Great Value

Played October 13th, 2017 sunny upper 70s
This is a better than a middle of the road course with tremendous value. Despite heavy rains earlier in the week we were riding fairways and generally speaking the course was in good to very good condition and the greens were very close to perfect. Golf Mater Cliff enjoyed the large undulating greens while Golf Master Brad noted the “shot maker” factor and that you will use all your clubs from tee to green…I am the short knocker so I liked that I could use my driver on every hole. I think the variance of the course design is the key element here. It only plays 6079 form the white tees but you have move your ball left to right, right to left and there are also wide open “hit it straight “fairways. Hitting it straight might be the hard part. This course does have a number of very interesting holes, one example would be #9 “Meadows “ where you’ll need to dissect two large trees flanking the fairway on this short 352 yard far 4. Aberdeen is a 27 hole course and its fun and affordable, we can recommend it for those that don’t want to play big bucks for overrated expensive courses.
So fun !!!
Great place to play. The more difficult course was a bit much. A bit to much water. The second 9 was so much better. Perfect greens and fairways. And was fun to see a few large gators.
Exceptional greens ...
Course just reopened after repairs to the clubhouse. Greens are phenomenal right now - quick, smooth and true. Only Fazio at Barefoot has greens any better at the moment. I played the tips and it's an enjoyable layout, a variety of tight\generous tee shots but I found myself with a lot of approach shots from nearly identical yardages which gets a little boring using the same club on numerous approaches. The bunkers were wet and the fairways a little damp (some mud on the ball) but definitely a course to check out.
Worth the Drive
If you are staying in Myrtle Beach, take the short trip to Aberdeen! Beautiful course and is in excellent shape! Greens were fair and rolled perfectly! It's not too expensive either. Be sure to find the fairway off the tee! It is a must to make birdies on this course. Plenty of birdie opportunities though!
Aberdeen a nice Track
Unfortunately the greens were in bad shape. They punched them 2 weeks prior and it was like putting on the Ho-Chi-Minh trail on most greens. The layout I thought was excellent with water coming in to play on most if not all holes. Fairways were in great shape and if they ever get the greens back this place would be a 10.Liked the fact that the par 3's were mid-iron. I'll give it another chance in 6 months as it's still reasonably priced.
