Golfer Reviews
Course layout great, but not much else
Haven’t been to Myrtle Beach to play golf for 20+ years… used to come quite often before then. Always wanted to play Arcadian Shores but it was nearly impossible to get a TeeTimes… so I was looking forward to playing.
My wife and I arrived about 30 minutes early for our 1:30ish tee time. There was no one at the Bag Drop at first and when someone did arrive, there was not a welcoming greeting and I already had our bags out of the car…I had to ask where to go, etc. not much help.
I assumed we weren’t allowed to take a cart to parking lot, so I parked, went to pro shop to sign in etc. the staff in the pro shop were OK. So we walked back to the bag drop, again no one there so, I started loading our clubs myself, finally someone showed up, and finished the job. I tipped but wish I wouldn’t have, as when we returned after our nearly 5 hour slow paced round, which featured no course marshall…there was no one, no one to help, the pro shop was closed, everything was closed or closing!! It wasn’t that late in the day... could not get in clubhouse to go to the bathroom!! Let alone have a beverage…
On the plus side, we loved the course and the beverage cart lady was so nice, the only employee that seemed glad we were there!!
I’ve played a lot of places, a lot of places, all over the.world, and this is near the bottom of my list for making you feel welcome and hoping you might return!!
Good value
The fairways were green and the greens rolled real well. The rough was still dormant so there were some dead spots off the fairway but all in all, this course is a great value. The staff is very friendly too.
solid course
fairways and greens rolling. not an abundant amount of water but lots of bunkers. never figured out speed on greens and had a lot of tap ins for bogeys.
Play Arcadian shores!
Greens were perfect, fairways in above average condition. Traps groomed by turf maintenance team. Pace good. Good mix of holes. All in all, a very enjoyable round and a convenient location beside Tangier's booth.
Great Course
Great layout, only issue I had the sand in bunkers was very thin, I had to try a pick the ball clean to get out. The layout is great I would play this course again.
Great track
Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Always enjoy playing this course. A lot of casual water making 5 holes cart path only. Maybe could use a drainage upgrade
Overall a fun experience
Great course and excellent condition.
Course was in great condition for Feb. Greens were excellent and in great shape. Great design, bunkers seem to be strategically placed and always in play.. a little slow 4.5 hours, but a must play if you are in the area.
