Good shape
Played this course several years ago and it was in poor shape. Decided to give it another try . Pleasantly surprised. Best greens of the four courses that I played this week, bunkers were kept in good condition. Will play again for sure.
Fun and challenging
Great course for average golfer (which I am not), but fun challenge to anyone that enjoys the game. Got matched with three Canadian fellows and they enjoyed the course also.
Great Course
A great variety of holes. Gets a little backed because of layout, but overall a great price for the course.
Played 10/8. This isnt a negative review. This is just a warning that if playing this week, its cart path only. Doubt theyll get around to warning you on golfnow. Every green, like most greens around MB, are elevated. Once youre on, the putts are pretty true. The fairways were good but it felt like my new england spring fairways, quite soft. Ill use more woods and hybrids if i play again. The rough is bermuda and hides the ball when you tee off and wind up off the fairway. I found myself clubbing up and full swinging out as the round went on. There's reviews that this place has gone downhill. Well, it mustve been a real gem before because it really was a nice course compared to most in Western Mass. There are better courses in MB but bring your wallet. Pace of play was an issue too but thats because of the cart path only (5 1/2 hours)
Slow greens
Green were super slow but in good condition. Fairways were average. Bunker sand was mix of dark sand with small pebbles. Overall ok value, but nothing spectacular.
Beautiful Greens
Can’t wait to play again. Need a few ball washers but overall a great track
Good course with friendly staff
I’ve played Arcadian Shores a handful of times. It is a good layout that is in good shape. The pace of play was a little slow, but it was OK. The staff was friendly and courteous. I’m sure I will visit Arcadian Shores the next time I’m in Myrtle Beach.
Long course!
So, this course starts with a par 5, par 3 par 5 and because the range wasn’t open (very wet) it was a tough start. But although it was pretty wet, the fairways were playable, minus any roll, and the greens were pretty slow. Bunkers were wet. I think, in dry conditions this would be a fun course. When it’s wet, it is hard - at least for me, a 72 year old short ball hitter!
Should have heeded other reviews
While we believe the course layout was very good and forgiving with wide fairways, the overall condition of the course left much to be desired, especially on the back nine. Many of the fairways were sparse and sandy, so it was equivelant to hitting out of a waste bunker. There were also many greens under repair with substantial amounts of sand on those areas. We would like to play this course with better conditions.
Disappointed in Course Groundskeeping
I've played here several times through the year's. .. But this time it was unfair to paying patrons who remember when Arcadian Shores was one of Myrtle Beaches best kept courses. From overgrown fairways and tees, to not being mowed around the green approach area, to the bunkers that hardened after last weeks rain and had not been raked or cultured. We four got really frustrated. Come on Arcadian shores!
Great cause and Friendly staff
Great forgiving course, watch o UT for the Gator on 4. Starter was personable ,and all staff were friendly
Over priced for punched greens and fairways
Booked for $59 a person got there and the greens are punched along with the fairways, great course layout but definitely not worth $59.
