Fullerton Golf Course

Went looking for a short game near me where I hadn't played lately. I booked thru golfnow and got a deal. I added a cart (I always do). This course is situated at the bottom of a river in Fullerton, Ca. and the fairway edges are next to ravines full of growth which gobble up balls.

If you keep ball in the fairway you will score well. If you can handle sidehill lies you will score well. If you can aim well, you will score well. Da!

I love playing Fullerton, and the course management is going 100% to bring the course to its condition before weather beat the course into a natural state over the last three years! I hope people look to Fullerton and choose it as a play mainstay!

Horrible tee boxes, horrible fairways, greens are decent. Attentive cart girl and workers are pretty friendly but if I’m gonna spend $65 for a terrible course I’d rather spend $80/90 for a way nicer course.

Pace of play was horrendously slow, had to wait on a 3some in front of me who didn’t let me play through even tho I was a single. Marshall came around just waving at people not trying to solve the pace of play problem and actually told ME to speed up even after explaining the situation. Will not be becoming back and would recommend anybody not to play here EVER.

Greens are the best thing about the course, fix your pitch marks please. These greens will be destroyed by the players due to lack of care, this is players responsibility, not the staff. Fixed at least 5 pitch marks on every green. Looks to be a homeless living on the course, assumed he was a regular when he was in the pro shop during my check in. On 16th hole while trying to chip green side this same older gentleman walked from parking lot onto course and yelled “need to rest and not going to steal anything” and to my surprise decided to take his rest in my cart, our group proceeded to 17th hole to where he followed us and wandered onto the 17th hole and possibly lives behind the green. Never experienced this on a golf course. Ruined the end of my round, lots of players in disbelief as they had to wait for him to wander his way around before they could hit.

Nice course, tighter than when I played back in the 80's. Had a nice time. Thank you.

Pace of play usually isn’t too bad. The other day though there was a long line at the 18th. The tee boxes are basically rough and the rough is well, not sure what to call it.

My first time here had a blast and will definitely go back for sure.

I have played many courses for both high school, college and and scga junior tournaments and this course is still my favorite, because I don’t worry about how much it cost. When I’m playing single I can play 2-3 balls on a weekday and still keep pace of 4:15-4:30. For less than an hours wage this course is a steal and still challenging.

Pay attention to the rate: it's for walking. I had to pay another 15 for the cart, so the deal wasn't nearly as good as I thought. The course is better than the last time that I played there; however, it still needs work. There are many sections that are too overgrown and have odd bounces, and balls are lost even though they are played down the fairway. It's a quick course. Even though we waited at almost every hole, it only took a little over four hours.

Short game accuracy is critical just like any other course. I didn’t have, but I thoroughly enjoyed walking it for $46 on a weekend. If you walk, avoid playing it when it’s hot. We went off at 9:15 with a nice breeze. Overall, a great day!!! :)
