1st Tee Photo submitted by Benjamin1349821 on 09/25/2012
Poor Fairway Conditions.
The fairways were in poor condition. It would be helpful to have sand in the cart containers to repair divots. Both containers were empty at 9am.
Greens were in fairly good condition.
Good pace of play, under 4 1/2 hours.
Great course for the Price
Great course for the price, it can easily get backed up, if there’s a group in front of you, just take your time and you’ll be fine.
Cold but surprisingly fast Saturday morning round
Sunny but cold, it was warmer at 6:00 AM when I left the house than it was at 7:04 when we tee'd off. It finally warmed up after the front 9 and the rest of the round was a pleasant temperature. The course conditions were good and pace of play was excellent. Always love a fast paced 3 hour 15 minute round. Greens ran pretty fast even with the morning dew on the grass. I also like the challenging layout of the course with it's narrow fairways and multiple Brea creek water hazards. Only my 5th time playing this course but will definitely play here again.
By far one of the worst course conditions I’ve ever played
I’m going to keep this short because I wasted my time and most of all my money playing this joke of a course on Sunday. I’ve never seen such terrible course conditions in Orange County. The tee boxes were all completely dead and so dried out you could even put a tee in the ground... not joking. The fairways were terrible, half dirt half, crab grass. The greens would have been okay if they weren’t punched and sanded. Over all a terrible experience here. One of the people in our group couldn’t make it and the starter wouldn’t help even though he could have, he knew that GN was closed on Sunday and referred me to call GN to get a refund for the non existent 4th player knowing I wouldn’t be able to contact anyone with GN. So I basically paid $76 for one green fee to play what was the worst course I’ve ever played in OC in my entire life of playing golf. If you don’t like wasting your money don’t play here. There are many many way better courses for the same price or even much cheaper.
Greens sucked
I hate golf courses that do not tell Golfnow and people that green's are being punched.
Very nice little muni!
This is a very unusual and unique course! It's a par 68 with 7 par 3's. Very nicely laid out with neat elevation changes.Great place to have fun and work on your game.
Great value for the price.
This course is in Fullerton and thus will get a lot of play. That being considered the course was in great shape. We did encounter one tee box that looked like it missed its morning trim but other wise the course is short, challenging, and in great shape. Hot dogs were pretty good too.
Slow play
Pace of play was crazy slow and frustrating, 3 to 4 groups on each hole, I ended up only playing 9 holes instead of 18. Besides that seemed like a decent course for the money
Thank you it was a positive atmosphere
Lots of hazards make sure you go down a club be safe
It’s getting better!
Fullerton used to be my local go to course for a cheap round or a quick twilight, but it kinda went to crap a year or two ago. I decided to give it another shot and was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. The fairways were good, the bunkers have decent sand in them (none of that hard packed cement-like stuff), and the greens were the best I’ve ever seen them. Rate of play is still a bit of an issue on the front, but that’s to be expected when you pack 4 par 3’s in a row. For $17 twilight, it’s hard to find a better deal.
Another great round at Fullerton
Over cast sky's with a little rain drizzle hear and there. Not to hot which was perfect. Course played very nice and the condition was great too. Pace of play was superb until 17 and 18 when it backed up a bit.
