Sharpening my skills
Exec course allowed me ample iron practice. Greens in good shape so enjoyed the putting experience. No wind & good fellowship proved to be a very enjoyable afternoon. Bucket of balls seemed expensive $12.
What an atrocity
After all of the rains, it was a nice day. We had a 9:16 tee time. The course was backed up and said it would be a short delay. What they did not tell us that even though we had a tee time made days in advance, because we only had 2 they were going to make us sit around an extra half an hour.
The course was wet so they said no carts on the fairway, cart paths only. The people in front of us were terrible, driving across the muddy fairway, tearing it up. When i called to let them know, they did NOTHING!!! There was no course marshal. Pace of play was terrible. It is a short course and should take less than 4 hours. It took us 5 1/2 hours. We were there for 6 hours. LESSON LEARNED...NEVER GO TO FULLERTON ON THE WEEK-END. No marshals, poor customer service. Tried to call the snack bar to order food but no one ever answered. Worst experience golfing EVER!!!!!
Decent Course
Overall, the course was in average shape. The layout of the holes was average, the greens/fairways/tee boxes were maintained pretty well and the pace of play was good as well. There doesn't seem to be much flow to the holes which is uncommon with most golf courses. The greens fees were relatively inexpensive so this is a decent course for the money, although I do think there are other courses in the area that are relatively the same price but a bit more challenging and maintained better.
You get what you pay for (even that might be a stretch at Fullerton)
This place is a dump. The course is in horrible condition, the range shuts down before 99% of the population gets off of work (or if there is a full moon or the tide is low or any other number of random reasons), and the staff is rude and inconsiderate. I got the membership out there for 2 months and canceled today because half the times you go there, there is some new reason why you can't get on the course or on the range. I swear at least 50% of the time I went there resulted in me having to turn around and go back home before even unloading my clubs. The few times I did get to play, there were drunks falling out of golf carts in front and behind me and the pace of play might as well been measured in days rather than minutes. One time I even got solicited by a golfer trying to sell marijuana on hole #4. You can't even make this stuff up. I will never go back to this place and will spend my money and more importantly TIME driving to a course I know I can play at and isn't a complete joke. You've been warned.
great time on the green
found this course on GOLFNOW site, dropped family off at Disneyland . booked this the nite before and only 20 minutes away. was impressed from the the Pro shop to the first tee - elevated tees, wide and narrow fairways, greens were fast - fast paced played 18 holes in 3 hours - great public course away from home
No control
Although the starter was very diligent in ensuring accurate starts for each group, Marshalls are more concerned with looking for balls in the hazards then they are keeping the pace of play going. We had a foursome in front of us that preferred arguing and drinking which resulted in snail pace of play, to actually playing the game and a group behind us hitting up on our heals. Don't understand what the Marshalls are good for.
Not bad
The layout was okay and the course a little short. The pace of play was good and the greens were in good shape. Overall it's a fun little course worth the money.
A Blustery Day
Jumped on a Hotdeal and ended up playing with two brothers the course was in great condition the greens fantastic. If the traps could be raked once in a while, have the marshals drag a rake through.I mean they really don't do much I guess that's why most of the time their called Marshals
best short course for price and food
Wh ere else can you eat both breakfast and lunch and hit a bucket of balls and get 2 drinks and play 18 holes of golf for $35 ?
Fullerton experience
Great for practice, variety of conditions, nice people, only bad thing is pace of play somewhat slow especially on weekend but that is to be expected since the rates are fairly reasonable.
Extremely Disappointing
Showed up a half hour early for our tee time booked on Golf Now the day earlier. Was informed that we would not be able to tee off until at least 45 to 60 minutes after our booked time, which meant we would have to wait an hour and a half to even get a cart.
As an accommodation we were offered a half bucket of balls .................made a decision to leave and go play another course which we had no problem getting out on. My suggestion...don't take my reservation unless you can get me out in a reasonable amount of time close to that reservation time. And refund my reservation fee when a course cannot accommodate my booked reservation.
Not very exciting
As a first at this course I can say that unfortunetely the group of players who played before us was mostly rude and looked to don't really know how to play , the pace of play was obviously poor . the fairway was not in good condition and the layout was not really interesting . I cannot say that the value for price is fair . A first and a last time at this course .
Good value
Nice friendly staff, descent greens but very over booked. Players where going around jumping in slowing pace of play, very disappointing. Call pro shop to send out an ambassadore but nor much accomplished. Good luck.
Neighbor
Live next to course it's challenging but fun good greens.Good staff thx for all the greens keeper great work!
Fairways need work
The greens here are very nice and roll pretty true. I played on a sunday and the pin placements on the back 9 holes very very difficult for how easily sloped this course was rated. Pace of play was good believe it or not. To me, that's the most important thing in golf is that I am consistently moving and not waiting around. A round for 4 people should take no longer than 4.5 hours and on this short course it should be 4 hours. Ours took 4 hours with 4 people so it went well and marshall was out telling people to speed it up which is excellent!
short but challenging
The course is in decent shape. Greens roll fast and fairly smooth, though some are a little bumpy due to people not repairing their divots. The fairways are hard and firm, could use some work. Don't need to use driver on every hole and the course allows you to think your way around it. Nice to work on every club in your bag.
Great deal
Once I got to the course to pay the guy at the front desk informed me that they had a deal which included a small bucket breakfast or lunch 2 drinks 18 holes plus a cart for 30 bucks, you won't get a deal better than that anywhere.
