Fun course; great value
I always like going to this course and find the rates are always a good value for the play. The course is a nice and well kept and I would recommend this to anyone.
Course has great potential
Had a couple problems with the management of the course. The staff was friendly and did seem to care that we did not have carts available to us, we ended up getting out almost 45 minutes late as we had to wait for the people ahead of us to get there carts. The bar staff seemed to be bothered by our request for service and they where out of several common beers and did not have grapefruit juice for my greyhounds.
The course was fun, some challanging shots but not so bad a semi-hacker could not enjoy it.
This course can be challenging at times
Some of the holes have a challenging situation that one needs to plan best approach, some have narrow spot that you need to deal with. I had cancelled the reservation yet they were able to give a different tee times, so friendly and accommodating .
Greens were in great shape, fairways could be a touch more evenly mowed and would have appreciated the rough being a touch longer to hold balls.
Nice day, I will bring my 10 year old back to play here because the length of the course is perfect for her to play on with all of the par 3's. There were quite a few tee boxes in pretty bad shape, I could tell the course shows a lot of ware from recent play, but I feel more could be done to reconstitute the tees. The greens made the course very playable, all were cut evenly/that day and rolled with good consistency, had the right amount of hold on approaches and stimp speed.
Long Wait
Had to wait on several holes, but nice course with some fun holes.
good course for the price
booked a tee time late the night before and got 10 % off a nice early time. got to the course 10 mins before my time and was blasting off before we knew it. The course was in great shape and well maintained. Only 42 bucks and we finished in 3.5-4 hours. We did have a 6am tee time.
Had a good time playing
Overall the course was in descend shape, fairway still pretty tight and hard, I play this course often because the price is right, and local for me.
Its a decent course
Overall I've played fullerton a bunch in my life. The course is currently greener then it used to be. So good job on that and I bet the rain helped. My only complaint would be the pricing they used to be a really good deal. Now they're as much if not more then a lot of other courses...
Nice local course
Always enjoy playing this course, slicers beware....got to hit it straight.
this is afun course is the fairways get more water
this is afun course is the fairways and bunkers get some attention it fells like you are hitting out of car path isted of fairway or bunker
Greens were in great shape!
First time I had played this course. Back 9 had some good, challenging holes. Great place to go if you want a quick round. Food in the restaurant was great! Had breakfast and lunch there!
One of the better rounds I've had at Fullerton GC
I live in Brea and play at Fullerton pretty frequently, as it's really the only 18 hole course that's close and affordable, and I'd have to say this was one of the more enjoyable rounds I've played out there. Pace of play was just over 4 hours for a 3:45 tee time, and as always, the first 3-4 holes were slow before it opened up. This course is very frustrating to me, as it seems like I should be able to shoot much lower than I usually manage. The fairways are tight and the greens on most of the par 4's are pretty small. If you're not accurate with your driver, probably best to leave it in the bag because you're not finding your ball if you miss the fairway. Only complaint is that there are a lot of folks from a particular group known for their slow play, if you know what I mean, but I guess that's kind of just becoming par for the course in North Orange County. They won't let you play through so I end up skipping a couple holes to get around them. Other than that, tough to beat for $18 w/ a cart
Airraded greens
I genarally like this course, but the front nine greens and the 15 hole was airrated..
nice and secluded
When i drove into the parking lot and quickly pick a stall towards the back of the clubhouse, i noticed it was gonna be a good day. The Staff was very friendly guided me to where i needed to go since it was my first time. The course was well maintained. Green everywhere. A few difficult holes but who doesn't want to experience new challenges.Once the Sun broke through by the 7th hole it turned out to be one of the nicest days in Southern California. I would recommend this course to my friends!
A great value for the money!
Fullerton is an intermediate level course, not fancy but a lot of fun. Some of the holes are narrow and challenging and the layout is attractive. I always have a fun round here and meet some really nice people. I've been playing here for three years and I will keep coming back!
great value for the money. super friendly staff
course was in good condition. somewhat challenging for a muni. pace was above average on a Sunday in prime time. starter, course and restaurant staff all were friendly and helpful. no better bargain in north OC
Very good value
Pretty narrow course, overall ground is pretty firm so you'll get plenty of roll. Lost a few balls to this. Make sure you have plenty or spares if you're not a straight hitter. Greens to my surprise were well kept for a public course. Finish the round in about five hours which isn't that bad i thought, and I'm a very quick and impatient ready golfer but i had accepted this before playing. Paid 30 for cart and green fees can't complain! Very good value.
field is in poor condition
worst golf course ever. they have no dress codes. people were wearing jeans and t-shirts. too many par 3's. waited 10 minutes for each hole... we left after front 9
good course to practice on
I live close by the course and play it mainly because of its reasonable raate. The fairways are in very poor condition; the greens are pretty good; the tees are fine. The course is relatively short and the last four holes are a bad redo of a once par three course. ( I played the course years ago when there were four holes -- the best ones-- on the other side of Bastunchery road.
