super nice staff got a deal through golfnow.com.. bring xtra balls
I grew up in Placentia so I have played Fullerton for years and I am never let down.the greens this december are plush.the guys that hang out at this course are super friendly
Good pace, green in good condition
Great fee, completed in 4 1/2 hours, fairway and green are in good conditions. Friendly staff, great local course in Orange County, blue tee plays long. One of my favorite course with reasonable fee, great value.
The course is so hard I lost so many balls.
This course is very nice and beautiful but it is so hard and very challenging. I will come back to play again somedays.
Decent course for under $40
This course used to be a rat trap, but they have really turned it around. It's no Pebble Beach, but the greens, sand, and fairways have been maintained. A big improvement from the previous 5 years.
Perfect length to play 18 after work.
My buddy and I played 18 after work in 2:45. More par 3's than normal on this course but that does speed it up. Greens were perfect speed. Paid $16 from 18 holes AND a cart. Excellent value for a good course in so cal. I'll definitely be back!
This course was better than expected.
Our family just moved here from Texas. Fullerton was as good, or better than many of the courses we played there for half again as much money. The approach shots just short of the green were much more enjoyable due to the condition of the grass-there actually was some! You could actually hit the ball and get some action on it. The greens rolled very true and were in pretty good shape. The elevation and overall layout of the course added a lot of character to the course. We will definitely be back. And. it's true what they say about the Hotdogs-there were pretty awesome.
somewhat short but very challenging
Tree lined with narrow fairways and a creek that runs almost throughout and greens that show a lot of wear, this course is challenging. Very nice staff and good carts made the day very pleasant indeed. Can't beat it for the price.
a nice, challenging course
It's my first time played here. It's not very long course. 6 par 3. But to me, it's a practical course. My iron and shot game is off recently. I tried to use the course to practice my iron accuracy. I found my swing tempo.
The course is well maintained. The green is in excellent condition. The price is a bargain for the weekends.
I like the course and I will come back.
If only I'd played better...
Arrived at 11:15 for an 11:52 tee time. No one on the tee so I went out single. Foursome in front of me playing best ball, no one behind me. Finished in 3-1/2 hours playing two balls.
Tee boxes needed mowing and a bit uneven. Fairways in pretty decent shape with some bare spots. Greens very firm and lots of ball marks. Traps were in good shape.
Short course, some odd holes with restricted tee shots, a few hills and valleys to make it interesting.
Scenic
Nice course for the money. The greens are pretty challenging and fairley consistent . Water runs through the middle a lot of the way so stay straight. All in all a fun course.
Coure is a good time for fun or serious golfer
always have good time at fullewrton course. tends to back up so get there early. great if you wanna plasy a twosome.
Decent and cheap
Course is ok. Decent condition. Inexpensive. Good for an afternoon round. Dont play on the weekends unless you have 5-6 hours.
Fun course to play
I like playing fullerton because it is close to me and a good deal. The one thing I dont like about it is the 5 sums they have started to allow there. It is hard to find the time to get away for 3 1/2 hours let alone 5 hours. La mirada golf course is closer but I never play there for that reason.
great surroundings
great course, the up and down ,the hillsides are tough and leave tough lies but make for some innovative shots...fairways run very good but the rough is tough...greens are very tricky but they can be 2 putted if you give yourself a good first putt run...all in all it is a fun course and i will be back...
Great Tee Time Deals
The Tee Time specials are what drive me here to play, but the poor fairways along with the greens being punched a lot of the times I go, make it a disaster of a round, but for the money I paid to play, can't argue! Plus, the hot dogs are second to none! Get 'em while you can, you won't regret it!
A saturday afternoon round in 4 hrs, fantastic
1st time at this course, many holes narrow so keep your 3 wood handy off the tee
fun course
This is a great course for your intermediate player. Price is good only on weekdays and after twilight
Great Obstacles
This course always offers some great challenges. The staff is very friendly and willing to work with your tee time if your party is running late. They allow you to bring your coolers filled with water, soda, sports drinks, and of course beer! The fairways are green but need trimming at times. The greens some times are terrible. There either super green and wet or dry, yellow, and have huge divots and dirt patches where people don't repair their divots. If it's your first time playing here, bring extra balls as you will find yourself losing at least 3 depending on how good of a player you are. The range is great and fairly inexpensive. The snack bar/bar is tasty and have deals on beer and hot dogs during the week. I really enjoy playing this course once or twice a month to see how much my swing has improved.
