Fullerton Golf Course

Tee time was 11:12am didn’t actually get off the first tee until 11:40ish. By 4:30pm only got through 15 holes until I just gave up and left. This place is poorly managed and poorly maintained. It used to be better but now it’s just trash!

Poorly run. Slow pace of play due to a tournament that was slowing down everyone else. I booked a 10:45 tee time. They sent us out around 45 minutes later. It took 6 hours to play!!! This is a par 66, short course and it took 6 hours!!! We were given were no accommodations from the course (like a discount on this horrid round, or a greens fee for a round to be played on a later date. I will never play here again.

Shout out to the staff pro shop, The starter and ambassador, we two 4 four some's separate tee times, single digit handicappers and above, everyone was very patient with our group, although i know the ambassador was dealing with some complaints, however the two foursomes in front of our group were not very fast, so we were back up anyways, we had relatives visiting from Georgia, they're not used to the overcrowding in California, but overall thanks to the staff for being understanding and helping us move along at a good speed, overall 4 hours 30 mins, about 30 mins behind pace, great food and service, perfect place for a large group looking to focus on having a good time and not worried about the score or pace.

My last trip to Fullerton golf course was last Friday. I live very close to Fullerton golf course which is why I decided to book a round on my day off. It had been eight months since the last time I've played here (even though I am about 3 miles away). Every time I play Fullerton, it just seems like something goes wrong which ruins the experience.

I showed up to the round 15 minutes ahead of time and I see no less than 4 groups at the 1st tee. The starter said something to the extent of "don't worry we'll get it going". I'm a single, and Fullerton does not give out single carts. As I'm looking for the other guy in my group, 4 people come forward with the same tee time. Yes, the golf course booked a 5-some. That was confirmed with the shop. So, we tee off 30 minutes after our tee time after our 5-some was separated. The group 2 Infront of us is playing terrible and holding everybody up. The conditions of the course were dismal. All of this together just got in my head, and it took a few holes to get out of it. By hole 9, the 2-some Infront of us wrapped back around to hole 2 because it was taking so long, and the 1 guy who was with us joined them. Me and my cart partner were just done with the day, by the time we were done with 9 we were 2 hours and 55 minutes in. Our tee time was 11:48 and we weren't going to finish before the sun went down. I asked for a half refund at the shop (No "pros" here), and they said they don't do refunds.

During the slow play there was an "ambassador" that was just moving around the course and parking. He was nice when he came by, but they made no effort to speed up play. Its obvious the staff at this place doesn't care. I know its affordable, but spend your money anywhere else. You will have more fun at Birch hills than here even though its longer. I was between Fullerton and Anaheim hills when I booked, and now I've learned my lesson.

They greens were in great shape! That's about it.

Finding some decent grass in the fairways is nearly impossible. Patches are either muddy or dry like concrete. I was pretty much in the middle of the fairway the whole round, but yet struggled to find grass.

This course is interesting. Great to work on short game with extremely narrow fairways. I might go back if the tee boxes were reasonably flat and more than 75% of the fairways had grass.

Not a bad course. A little narrow so bring e tea balls. My only complaint is the tee boxes were a little torn up.

Haven't played here for a year or so but still a good course to play for the price. They were seeding/punching the Tee boxes (October) so most were not in great condition, but didn't alter our play. This is an older course and gets a lot of play so fairways were dry but playable, with Greens showing signs of recent sand/seeding as well. Got a great deal (Hot Deal) from Golfnow so can't complain about the course for the price. Will definitely play again.

If you value your dollar don’t waste your time here. Charged me full price for fully sanded greens and didn’t tell me. Not worth it stay home.

No, not forgiving at all. You are playing on a very narrow strip of land in a shallow valley between houses. One shank, fade, or draw and you either hit into another tee box or someone’s window. As a beginner, I could not fully swing in fear of hurting someone else on the hole besides me or someone’s patio 30 ft to my right. Nice weather down there but even a 2 year amateur with me lost many balls trying to hone in a new strategy.
