Nice industry
It was a wonderful round. The green are fresh o a hot summer day. Well kept course and good staff. We'll be back.
Still one of my favorites
The Ike and the Babe are still two of my favorites in SoCal, always a treat to play either of the two.
Sunday Twilight @ the Babe
Course was great, Greens rolled true, fariways had some spots but are being worked on. Challenging but fair.. Finished in 3 hours. We'll definitely be back.. Brian at the pro shop was cool..
industry Hills Babe Course
After playing and enjoyng the 'Ike' course so much at Industry Hills, I decided to try the 'Babe' course. To my disappointment, the 'Babe course was in terrible shape. All fairways seemed to have large patches of dirt. Greens weren't too bad but nobody cared to fix divots. Course was challenging but conditions are poor compared to the course right next to it (Ike). Maybe they should give 'babe' as much care as they give 'Ike'.
You Should Play Here
One of the better courses I've played. My words will not addquately convey my pleasure and satisfaction. The course was in great condition; especially considering the "drought" we're in. Excellent value!! I paid the same price here as I did for several courses that are less than half what this course is: Hansen Dam, El Cariso, Los Robles, to name a few. The course has a resort feel. The course is beautifully landscaped. It is very challenging as well. Fairways are narrow and in great shape. Greens were great(even with all the players not fixing divots!!)The Marshall for our round was Mark; he provided service I am not accustomed to. There was a tournament ahead of us, they were playing very slow. He found an opening, escorted us to those holes, then returned us to the holes we hadn't yet played. He saved us over an hour for sure! I will be playing here again. Only complaint is the price of beverages; over $11 plus, not including a tip, for 2 12oz beers.
Change the Sunday pins!
Beautiful Sunday afternoon in the luxury of the Pacific Palms Babe course. Excellent surfaces from tee to green 90% of the time. Very nice pro shop employees, and flexible too.
My only complaint, with all the resources this facility has, it behoove them to have a couple of greenskeepers work a couple of Sunday morning hours to change the pins. All 18 greens were un-puttable within a 10' diameter of each pin. Footprints and foot traffic severely ruined the lines and true-ness of putts. Great iron shots were not rewarded with any chance of a birdie. Pins appeared to be left there since Friday. This was very surprising for such an overall nice facility.
Resort in Industry Hills
Industry Hills is not an affluent area of Los Angeles so it was a little disconserting to find a very nice full resort in Industry Hills with hotel, spa, and golf course!. I wasn't crazy about some of the layout; for example, the Pro Shop is in the back of the hotel with limited signage so you'll be hunting around a little. The staff was generally very helpful, if sparse. On a full 18 hole, 72 par course, we say the beverage cart once at the 15th hole on the hottest day of the year. The fairways were in good shape but the greens could use more attention. There are lots of elevation changes with tee boxes and hold at different elevations as the course is on a hillside. There are two holes with long focred carries that swallowed two of my golf balls. One odd thinkg is that the golf carts are closeley monitored so if you drive where you're not supposed to you're cart will slow to a crawl leaving you to believe that the cart is out of power. Overall, a pretty course with some nice amenities.
Well designed
Played the Babe course. One of the best courses I've played. Well maintained in drought stricken California, very impressive. Challenging course with a resort feel. Not for intermediate/ beginner golfer. This course requires club management and shot making. Fair course but challenging. Pace of play was 4 hours exactly. Paired with two other gentlemen, round was smooth. The heat may have made round so smooth weren't that many people on the course it was 102F. Highly recommend this course if you want a challenge and get to play a professionally maintained and designed course.
Perfect day
The course was awesome, the pin placements were challenging. We definitely will make it a point to visit again
Tight and short at the Babe
Really nice facility. Ended up playing the Babe course and two holes in my playing partner says you being a long hitter should have played the Ike course. I will be trying the Ike when a get a chance. As far as the Babe goes it's a short and extremely tight layout with a lot of teeing off thru "chutes" and trying to work the ball one way or the other. If you are not a straight hitter be prepared to lose a lot of balls. Being my first time playing this course I found the layout a bit confusing at times (both how the holes were laid out as well as some holes not knowing when to layup or bomb driver). Probably wouldn't play the Babe again but looking forward to trying the Ike.
Good course
Very good course. Fairway and green are maintained well. I enjoyed playing golf there. Some trees are obstacle to hit green straightly, but it was strategically to play. I can get better score in next time by avoiding those trees.
Soak
A lot of the areas are soaked in water. Are they doing this on purpose? I dont know. But over all the fairways are great, the greens are fast, pace of play is acceptable. Some fair ways are so wet it was cart path only.
Great course, slow play
Hot deal made this a good value. Course is in great shape and is a fun play. Unfortunately, we waited on every hole and took just over 5 hours to play.
Decent course
I used to play here back in the 1990's when it was a 1000 times harder than it is today (i.e., the courses here went through major renovation and got rid of all that CRAZY rough) but now it is a fairly fun course with overall decent conditions. If you are a singles handicap player then this course is fair and fun (from the tips).
Great course, great value.
On a business trip looking for a good course to play for a good value. This course was it! In great condition and just challenging enough. Loved it!
Overcast weekday
$44 with cart was a good deal for the course. Tee boxes could use some work but the course was challenging and the greens were very good. Would recommend.
Slow Cooked
Babe Z course : Target golf, Driver not necessary on half the holes. Shaped shots an advantage to lowering your score. Pace and tempo of play will affect your wait time, tee to green. Starter should spread tee times better and a marshall controlling pace and pressuring those without skill set to play this course. Tee selection should be enforced according to handicap. Who likes to play the blue tees and loose a ball every other hole? .. making a double bogey (or more ) can't be enjoyable to anyone, especially for the group behind [ that ] player.
Outstanding course from overall condition to price of the round.
Full disclosure: paid fire deal price. PGA tour level conditions. Pace of play was great. Definitely play this gem again!!!!
played Babe at 6am
First time playing here. It was a really nice looking course. I got to see a lot of Ike course as well. They both looked great. I enjoyed Babe because it looked like an easier course, but Ike did have some of the better looking holes. Greens looked great and played fast. Fairways are perfect green. Would play again and would recommend
