Starting to become my go to Silicon Valley weekday pm course… fist of all its a fantastic design with a full array of what a full course should have
Hands-down becoming my favorite spot for weekday afternoon times this course over the last three or four months has really just stepped its game up I love playing here because it’s challenging it provides a full array of what our full golf course should with four part threes four par fives and challenging par fours that when I make a par I feel great on. I see this place trending upwards as it has the last couple of months while I’ve been there this is one of a kind layout with the beautiful design by Trent Jones apparent on almost every hall bunkers are consistent and The greens are the real story here as they are just phenomenal day and a day out exceptionally fast for municipal and a lot of undulating surfaces make it difficult to two put and get it out come out and give it a shot I promise you won’t regret it
Great course for the money
Interesting layout, well maintained, nice staff. Sometimes pace of play is slow.
So much promise!
Shoreline has a great location and the track is fair but challenging at any level. The course however was very uneven. Some fairways were in good shape while others were beat up. Some greens were receptive while others were more like concrete. The staff is great and the facilities are above par so I do recommend it and will play there again.
It's a shame when there is all time best attendance and they make a money grab instead of putting into the golf course. GREED PURE GREED
Shoreline greens are my favorite such great conditions constantly, course in great shape bunkers great it’s a great value

Where are the course marshals?
Seriously courses need to get marshals back on the course to help pace of play. Playing ready golf or even having golf etiquette no longer exist.
Shoreline Golf Links is heading to the amphitheater!!
No golf course is perfect, yes some are nicer than others and for various reasons. Ie practice facility’s , course character and layout, conditions/ upkeep .
Shoreline has a very nice and spacious practice facility with a short game area, a very large putting green and a nice chipping and putting green in front of the pro shop. Also a driving range that is nice and just redone.
The course has a great charm about it, being a Trent Jones track you get greens guarded by bunkers , messing with the players depth perception and greens that are decent size, but always long and narrow making the player be strategic on approach shots.
Offering the better golfer a great challenge at 7000 yds from the tips & add in the usual wind 10-15mph and you have yourself a stiff test to post a below par number.
The course has its hands tied as the EPA environmental agency is all over them which prevents them from removing geese, squirrels and many of the things that lead to the usual complaining.
I can tell you that for the prices this course is by far the best deal around . The course is quickly becoming nicer daily as the rain and investment from the city is really showing. The carts are top notch although no gps
Very walkable and is in the best shape I have seen it in two years. Look for this place to continue to improve and this is my opinion but all very factual as well.
You can also try Baylands Country Club I heard they are now accepting new members who can’t afford a real one ,..
Btw the greens are fantastic (almost done healing from oct. 12th 1/2 ) & quite honestly are what really make this course. Hit it in the fairway and you will have a good lie. Come out and play or don’t just an update!
Any better player is going to be waiting to hit on every shot. You cant play through .Nothing against the course or architect just pace of play. 75% beginners on the course many women. If you dont mind that have at
Better than reviews say
When you go to shoreline you’ll more than likely enjoy your time. Pace of play can be slow at times but not too bad. The greens roll nice. Some bunkers could use more sand but I Definitely enjoy playing here more than moffet or sunnyvale
Course condition is really bad
The green is sanding and golfnow didn’t mention when booking, back 9 doesn’t even have flag and holes!
No heads up on green aeration or back 9 closure
So, I’ve been playing here since back in high school and I’ve seen it go through its multiple renovations. For its location and price, it’s hard to beat. However, today was inexcusable. I played here off of a Hot Deal, which thankfully included a cart. Pace was great, and, for aerated greens, the front 9 was fine. However, there was NO notice given to me, by the pro shop nor GolfNow, that the greens were aerated. Also, no signs nor notice were given that the back 9 had all of their pins and cups completely removed. Having worked and caddied for two courses, I completely understand maintenance and green aeration. However, there’s no excuse for giving no notice to players that an entire 9 holes is essentially unplayable. No signs, no heads up from a marshal, nor the pro shop. That’s unacceptable. If you’re gonna charge full price for only half the course being playable, the least you can do is let players know. Also, I don’t know why GolfNow didn’t make a notice of it either. Overall, if the cart wasn’t included in the deal, I would have walked off and spoken to management about it. I’m not one for confrontation or giving flak to a course but that’s very poor management. Saving graces were the group I was with and hearing The Doobie Brothers doing a sound check for their concert. Unfortunately I won’t be returning anytime soon
need more staffs in the pro shop
there was only one staff on duty at the pro shop, he chated with his friend on the phone for 10 minutes, and ignored customers
Shoreline is horrible, you must work there or somehow be related to the money grab. It's a shame when there is all time best attendance and they make a money grab instead of putting into the golf course. GREED PURE GREED
