Scheduling is awful
The course does not know how to schedule people. Today I was scheduled to be paired with a group of three and they never showed. I played as a solo and was stuck behind two groups of four and in front of a group of four. I played 18 as a solo in almost five hours. The pace is a joke. At least this time I started on time.
The last time I played here I had an 8:10 tee time and arrived at 7:50 to check in. The shop employee told me to hurry onto the course because there was a group of four scheduled at... 8:10. The same time I booked. I went out as a solo and was sandwiched between two groups of four.
The course is nice itself and it’s a shame how it’s run. If I want to golf this is the last place I’ll book and I do so only because it is all that’s available as a solo or because I have my own group of four so there’s no issues with scheduling. Hopefully.
If you’re playing alone save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.
Forgot Greens Were Punched
I'd forgotten they'd sent out an email regarding greens being punched last week. Oh well. Was able to go off early, and got in 18 just before dark. Carried, so got in some nice exercise in beautiful weather and witnessed a gorgeous FULL MOONRISE while playing the last few holes. So, though greens were really PUNCHED (BIG holes and gobs of sand), I still struck the ball well and enjoyed the 3 strangers I played with.
Local Golf
Played just the front 9. Great instead of hitting balls on the range. Fast 2 hour round
Oh Boy
Always love the course, but the fairways need some help. Soil is too compacted for grass to grow properly hence all the brown and bare spots.
Dave the manager do care
Maintenance mowing the fringe while im on the putting green on holes 12 and 17. I spoke to the manager(dave) after my round and he really did not care.
Course is full of goose poop gopher holes
It’s ok if you like to hit your ball with goose crap on it!
A lot of Goose crap everywhere, if you can play for under $40 it’s good, pace is slow to moderate, and the wind is almost always 2 clubs more than you think! Great layout but it needs some love!
Manager don’t give a rip
Maintenance worker mowing the putting fringe while we were putting. It happened on holes 11,12,17.
I spoke to the manger (dave) after our round and he really did not care. He said his workers had a lot of work to be done! Not even a “sorry sir, id like to apologize for the interruptions in your round”. I mention that i spent a big bucks ($50 for a muni) to play golf at shoreline and he rolled his eyes and said “big bucks, really”.
Hey Dave, some of us work hard and it takes a lot of budgeting to play a round $50 round of golf during a pandemic! Maybe Dave should have paid for our round of golf since $50 is peanuts to him. Hey dave, forget you and your goose poop filled golf course!
Good experience
Tee box level. Fairways firm. Greens clean and fair. Will play again.
Not too bad
The pace of the game is too slow even I have a cart because my partners are walking and most of the players ahead! I end not finishing the game because of the cart curfew too. But overall, it’s alright, maybe I’ll book earlier tee time and just do walking as most of the players do! Thanks GN
