It in the greatest condition.
For $50 with a cart this is a cool
Course. But it’s not worth any more than that due to its conditions in my opinion.
If you like Goose poop…
Windy, bad organization of holes. Goose poop was terrible and why we will Not be returning
A dump
Despite its strong practice facility, Shoreline has got to be a health hazard. Some holes are literally fully of bird poop on every inch of the fairway and greens. It is extremely bumpy from all the ground squirrels, rendering it nearly unwalkable. Staff are cool and service is good.
Perhaps the extremists who are somehow allowed to run these Bay Area cities should redesignate it as a “soccer field” so they can make the greens and fairways immaculate in the name of cultural sensitivity…. I’m joking, but I hope you get my point. .
Conditions
Course was really dry in many places. Tee boxes were in bad shape. Sand traps were not very playable. Pace of play need a marshal present to keep people moving. The group in front of us had 2 holes gap. I he driving range had groups taking two stalls several bucket loads of balls but not present utilizing the spot. Should there be spots reserved for people playing the course! The pro shop person took 15 minds to check us in. Was confused, could use more training we were 7 deep waiting to check in.
Positive remarks the starter was well informed about course conditions . Was very pleasant to talk too.
Nature’s Playground (with surprises!)
This course really opens up like a classic links-style track—wide, breezy, and feels great to play. It’s not a walk in the park though. With several dogleg holes and sneaky two-tiered greens, you’ll need more than just luck to score well. The fairways aren’t super wide either, so aim true and bring your short game!
Now, about the residents… This place is basically a wildlife sanctuary. Squirrels, rabbits, geese—you name it. It’s cute at first... until you realize the course is full of tiny landmines (a.k.a. droppings) and random holes. And yes, there’s a bit of a natural aroma in the air. 😅
Pro tip: Give your shoes and clubs a serious clean after the round unless you want a souvenir from Mr. Goose.
bumpy road
I would avoid shoreline until they fix fairways. All are in bad shape from overuse and under maintained. driving a cart around here the clubs nearly jump out of the bag. Bone jarring. No one monitors the pace of play and groups back up behind singles. Not good. It should be the opposite. I would expect this course to close soon given they do no care ordo not have the $$ to fix things.
2 holes (2nd/12th) were shorten due to repair
Course in good condition and pace also good because played in fron of 4 ladies.
Agreed. Remove the squirrels, make the fairways walkable, and do something about the geese. Hole 10 is always a disaster with about 200 geese around the green, It's a golf course, not a animal sanctuary.
