Jurupa Hills Country Club
About
Situated in the foothills of Riverside, Jurupa Hills Country Club is popular amongst locals for offering one of the most affordable rounds in the area. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but there are still some tough holes. The front nine is fairly wide open but the back nine gets more challenging. Although the fairways are mostly straight, they are lined with trees on both sides and the occasional dogleg is thrown into the mix. The golf course tumbles across rolling hills, providing uneven lies and a few blind shots as well. Large sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout and there are also a few water hazards that come into play. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range at Jurupa Hills Country Club.

100*
We’ve played Jurupa Hills a handfull of times. I wanted to take my son out for a summer round, with one of his buddies and his dad. We knew it was going to be hot, and brought some extra drinks and a cooling towel with ice. We had a nice front nine and ordered food at 8, and grabbed it on the turn, the back nine was when it started getting really hot and there was no water on the course anywhere. I was disappointed that there were not any drinking fountains or cold water coolers positioned at all. Hopefully in the future they’ll add some water on the course.
What happened to jurupa
Not sure what happened to this course but the fairways were cut down so they were brown. Dead cut grass around the fringes of the greens. Sprinklers running on the greens so you had to putt through streams of water. Sprinklers running on the fairways so you had to run to your ball and hit it before you got wet. What a complete mess.
Great day, ball marks suck
Course was saturated from watering. But the worst was the groups ahead not fixing any ball marks on the greens.
Fix your ball marks
Played 745am, greens were in great shape but for the mortar holes left behind. Not sure if it was the group in front of us. But had to fix 3 a hole just to putt.
Short but challenging
The greens have always been in great condition and fairways are in good shape. Control is much more important than distance off the tee. Greens are difficult to read with many subtle breaks that can be difficult to see.
Slow Day in the Hills
Nice little residential course in Riverside, however it has become a hackers paradise with other places either charging too much or flat out closing. Not the fault of this course however, I saw a Marshall Cart by the clubhouse but never saw the Marshall on the course. Groups were slow today & the gentlemen on the tee box waiting with us said this is an everyday event.
Course was extremely wet in low areas & greens, even had cups filled with water when your putt went into the hole. I’ve played here since the 90’s & really they haven’t done anything special here or made any enhancements to the course. However the price is starting to get uncomfortable to pay for what they offer.
Golf as a whole is starting to spike into ridiculous pricing, but I guess if people pay it they will continue to do it.
Great course, Amenities need work
Love this course but, pace of play on the back 9 was way too slow and the beer cart never left the clubhouse. We watched the girl load the cart when we started the front 9 but never once saw her on the course. We saw her at the bar when we finished the front 9 and never saw her on the back 9. Finally saw the cart parked and emptied when we finished 18. Snack shop was closed by 3:00 so we couldn't get any food at the turn.
Overall good value
We tee off was 1:45, round was about 4:15 ,
A little slow at times.
Highly recommended bringing water. No
Water on course!!
Which is really poor statement about, keeping players hi hydrated during the round.
This is a really big deal since its the IE, and heat exhaustion is a real thing.
