Got out early pace of play was very good, had brown areas tee boxes and in the fairways greens were in great condition but on the slow side.

Course was in good shape.

Just don’t know if it’s worth what they are charging.

Greens are always great and fairways have fewer holes and bare spots.

The staff in the pro shop ( Mark) was friendly and helpful. Always professional

The layout is user friendly, not too hard not too easy.

Pace of play is always a little slow because it’s a popular golf destination.

It’s always worth the drive from North Orange County, greens always in great shape ( people please bend over a couple of times and fix divots on the greens) not that difficult. Fairways good shape you always know that there will be some wet areas and or ground under repair. If you play on the weekend or a Holiday week/weekend the pace of play will be slower than usual, unless you are 1st handful groups out have some patience if you have late morning tee time.

As a regular who would frequent this course multiple times a month for the past 4 years, this place used to be a perfect mix of affordability, good-to-great conditions, being well-managed while not being overcrowded.

Unfortunately, over the past 1-2 years, those last three desirable traits of a course have degraded.

It is still a great value, but there are no starters or even anyone announcing who is next up on the tee box. If you're there and it's open, feel free to tee off regardless of your tee time. This leads to slow pace of play and frequent backups.

If you call the marshal out to enforce faster play, they simply say the groups ahead are not playing all that slow.

As someone who plays as a single frequently, in the past, I had been able to pass through groups (with their courtesy of course) and finish a round in 2.5 hours. That's not possible now when tee boxes are backed up with multiple groups waiting to tee off on a par 4/5 for some reason.

Well that some reason is actually specific. The affordability of the course lends itself to invite players who are low-skill + low-etiquette. Being low-skill in and of itself is not an issue. Everyone is subjectively bad at the game of golf regardless of your index. The issue is when you are low-skill and etiquette, mixed with the inability to play ready golf.

When the mentality of "well we're waiting for the group in front of me, might as well search for my ball for more than 2 minutes" is shared among the collective of golfers at any given time, that is when 2-3 groups start waiting on a single tee box.

My last round here on 6/28 as a single, I played through 9, tried to pass through the extremely slow group on 10, only to find 2 groups still waiting to tee off on 11. Sad to say considering how much I loved playing here in the past, but I won't be coming back at least for the remainder of this year.

While the overall layout of the course is enjoyable, there were some significant issues that impacted the experience.

Firstly, there was water in the hole, which is certainly not ideal and affects play.

Secondly, the course was very busy, leading to extremely slow play. We experienced waits of approximately 10-20 minutes at every tee box. Even though tee times were set for only two players per group ahead. The constant waiting significantly detracted from the pace and enjoyment of the round.

Course was in decent shape with the recent heat. Biggest issue was pace of play as a twosome took 4.75 hours to play, need more involvement by course ranger to mitigate.

The course is well kept and extremely fun to play.
