Jurupa Hills Country Club
About
Situated in the foothills of Riverside, Jurupa Hills Country Club is popular amongst locals for offering one of the most affordable rounds in the area. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but there are still some tough holes. The front nine is fairly wide open but the back nine gets more challenging. Although the fairways are mostly straight, they are lined with trees on both sides and the occasional dogleg is thrown into the mix. The golf course tumbles across rolling hills, providing uneven lies and a few blind shots as well. Large sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout and there are also a few water hazards that come into play. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range at Jurupa Hills Country Club.

Is this what Southern CA golf has become?
Course was packed on a Monday morning and I could sense the 5.5 hour round that came to be. Greens are fun and fast, at least the ones that were not covered in sand. The fairway conditions were unacceptable with most of my lies in the fairway being very thin with underlying hard pan. For $53 dollars for a weekday round, I would expect better - maybe throw some water on the fairways? The course has a fun layout and $3 Coors Lights which helped a little bit. Is this what Southern CA courses have become? If so, I'm lucky to have moved to Sacramento with our great munis.
Pace of Play
No discipline on pairings -no starter so groups of 5 all over the place with singles and pairs alone spreading out the volume and thus extending play time - we took 5 hrs and 45 mins to play 18 - just not fun when you have to stretch each time you hit because it had been so long since your last shot.
good
It was nice course. The length is a little bit short. but course is very well managed.
Accomodating Staff and course
Thank you for accomadting us about the carts. One showed up a bit late and allowed are group of 3 to each have a cart.
Pace of play.
10am tee time: finished at 4 pm!
I saw couse Marshall several times, but never improved pace of play! This was first time but last time played on this golf course!!!
Good Fun, challenging course.
Fun course. Staff was nice. Beverage cart was out. The parking lot was packed at our 10:08 teen time. BUT the pace of play was constantly moving, and I honestly couldn’t tell you where all those people were. The greens were fast and pure! The rolled so nice! A few of the greens were finishing up healing from being aerated. But even then they rolled great. Also in the clubhouse they had a sign notifying people that they had just done the 1st and 9th greens. Other than that, we had a great time and look forward to going back.
Hidden Gem
Had seen this course pop up on Golf Bow for a while and finally played today. Older course, but in good condition. Full grass on the fairways and the greens that had not been punched and sanded rolled very true. We will be back
Great Layout
I enjoy this golf course. The holes are challenging. EVERY kind of shot that can be required is necessary upon your attempts at par shooting. Cut shots, fades, hooks, punches......you name it. For having a few greens recently sanded..... I found the speed true to form upon every one of them. Bravo on that. There are some difficult irrigation issues, in a few key spots in the fairways. Nothing to deter me from another visit. Thank you for having us out to play there.
Ok Day
Greens were ariated but did not know. Still charged full price. Had I known, I probably would have booked somewhere else.
nice
3 Aerated greens but the other ones were in good shape.
Green rolling well with some good breaks making them a good challenge. Tree-lined fairway were pretty and this also put a premium on putting your tee shot in the fairway..
Average
Fun course. Mostly flat with a few hills. Could be in better shape. Green and bunkers could use an upgrade.
Good course for the money
Enjoyed our round here. Old school course but in good condition. Staff very friendly especially the drink cart driver. Brought us complimentary glazed donut holes on the course. Good selection of beers in the cart too. For $51 well worth it
