I will come back
My son and I had a great time. Some parts of the fairway was dry, but mostly well kept. Lots of sand and some water. A lot of up and down hills with narrow fairways. Will do better the 2nd time we play. There were no tee markers to give us a clue which hole we were on nor the layout of the hole we were playing. Without my "Bushnell" GPS it would have been a guess as to what hole we were playing and how far from the pin. For such a nice course they could invest in a few more signs. We saw lots of turkeys and dear on the course.
Great time
My son and I had a great time playing here! Nice layout great challenge! Staff was great! Only complaint...no frozen Snickers bars.
Canyon Lakes a great value for your money
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens could be a little better. Some bunkers need more sand but otherwise a great and very challenging layout. Bring your A game here otherwise plan to lose a few balls.

Great course for the price. Greens were true and fantastic.
Heavy tree-lined course with lots of water
This is an up-and-down course of moderate length but very high shot value. Front 9 is relatively easy, and back 9 is fairly difficult. Many of the greens have terraces, so accurate approach shots are rewarded and offline shots are penalized.
Keep it in front of you and hit some good approach shots and you can score. Drive it offline and you will be struggling in the trees or taking drops all day long!
Not for beginner
This course has narrow fairways and a lot of hazards. The layout configuration is very difficult, so you need your own strategy for every field shot.
Players cannot be boring due to the difficulties. It means that it is not recommended for beginner.
Bogey or single handies can enjoy a lot with cheap green fee.
Great Course
If you are searching for a good course for your money, this is the course. The fairways and greens where in great shape. There is not a driving range, only a hitting bay. There is a putting green and chipping green.
Challenging course
Not for beginners as the houses are too close. I loved it as the speed of play was great and greens are well maintained. New management is working hard to make this even better.

The tee to greens were in good shape the bunkers had no sand in them very hard to play out of bunkers .over all its a very challenging course you will enjoy
Greens in good shape
Lot of rain last week but the greens were in great shape (what really matters). Rest of the course was still pretty wet. Sand was non-existent. Played the first nine in 1:40 but the back took over two and a half hours. At least the marshal was active with trying to get it moving
Thank you for the review! The greens were aerated last week and continue to improve. The rain is great for the course but slow for golf. We have dried out and hope to see you back soon!
Getting Better
The course is under new management, so it is getting better. The staff is friendly and helpful, the course conditions were just OK, I am hoping they improve as new management gets going. FYI, I guess they are redoing all of the bunkers, most were Ground under repair with virtually no sand in them. Pace of play was slow, they were 4 twosomes in front of us. They should really look at combining groups
Work is still being done in the Pro Shop, and Restaurant. I hear good things are coming if you are a beer person

This course needs some tender loving care!
This course needs a little TLC, more sand in traps, fairways need some love, greens were decent. With all the rain we've had to date, I thought the course would have been in better shape.

Hidden Gem
I had no idea this course was in the Tri-Valley. It reminds me of an economical version of the BlackHawk Country Club. We zipped through the course in 4 hours on the weekend - incredible! If the course was better maintained, this would be my favorite course in the area.
Canyoun Lakes CC
Challenging but fun. Will Play again. Entertaining course with all of the vertical changes.
Canyon Lakes G.C. being Renovated with New Brewry
Great staff. New ownership group revamped entire operation. Will become a Bay Area golfing destination shortly.

For me, it is challenging and well design golf course.
This is my first time here and I will definitely will
come back here to play if price stay reasonable.
