Not bad
Food was pretty good of course was in decent shape pace of
play was great
Other than the pace of play. Everything else was excellent about the day. Staff was way over and beyond with customer service. Again the pace of play was terrible
A nice slow day
It was he slowest day I have ever had. When the fairways recover from the floods the course will be in good shape.
Lot of damage due to flooding.
Many big patches of mud on the fairway. It will take time perhaps 2 months to get back to normal.
File size limit makes it impossible to upload photos.
7.5 round
Tee time was at 9:44 didn’t get to start till about 1030 due to the first round group not wanting to tee off in the dark. There was a tournament in front and pace a play was stupid slow, probably the longest round I ever had in my life. Guys inside the golf shop had great customer service considering the situation they were in with a bunch of angry golfers and a line out the door.
Storm damage
Don’t come here till at least august. $50 on a Monday afternoon for the worst fairway conditions around. 1/2 the fairways are tilled dirt.
Wouldn’t pay more than $2 per hole.
Recovering from the winter storms
I played at LasPo this past weekend to get a look at how they had fared after all of the crazy storms with big wind, rain and flooding. The course sustained a lot of damage, with tens of trees down and according to the pro, the creek flooded four times over the winter. They clearly have a lot of work to do, and the turf will take time to grow back in. That said, the greens are in great shape and the course is completely playable now. Head on out there for a round; they would appreciate your business.
POOR CONDITIONALS
I can’t believe they even charge money to play here. Literally the worst experience you’ll ever have. Paid $40 and still regret every penny . Modified holes, mud everywhere, just a joke of a course.
Not Good!!
It's a shame Las Positas got hammered by the recent storms, lot's of tree damage.
What's NOT okay is to charge people full price and not let your customers know ahead of time that there were numerous holes where the tee boxes had been moved forward at least a hundred yards, and that there were temporary greens.
It's a typical, we'll take your money and let you complain after the fact, rather than let you know up front of the course conditions and risk losing your business.
I decided to give 2 stars (instead of just 1) when it came to course conditions because the course can't be held responsible for the storm damage....
What should have been an enjoyable afternoon round ended up being ruined and the players in the group all complaining about not being told ahead of time of the conditions.
So, my ratings are based on THIS particular round of golf, however they'd be only be marginally better if I was rating based on ALL the rounds I've played here...
My advice is to only play here if you get a fantastic deal, if you've been told by someone who's just played here that the course is in decent shape, and there's no tee times available anywhere else within a 50 mile radius.
Not good
This course used to be above average, not any longer. Because of poor management and really bad course maintenance, I would not recommend playing here until things change. To be fair, the weather has really hammered the entire Bay Area. I’ll cut them some slack for that, but that’s it. They just don’t know how to handle customers in the pro shop or manage tee times, pace of play, or any type of etiquette. I saw multiple groups of 6-8 players. I only played 9 holes in 3.25 hours! Not good.
Need my money back, stay away from this course.
Stay away from this course, took 3-1/2 hours to finish 9 holes due too tee times were 3 to 5 minutes apart. Only finished 9 holes. The course is in poor condition. The course should be closed for 3 to 4 weeks.
I should receive partial credit from the course or golf now.com. Highly recommend to stay away from this course.
Not Worth It. Don't expect to keep score.
This play is a disaster zone. They shouldn't even be open. A number of holes have closed greens where you have to hit your ball into a hole in the ground somewhere in the middle of the fairway. Almost all of the fairways were roped off, and a number of tee boxes were closed, leaving golfers to tee off on mats randomly placed down the fairway.
Mud pit!
This course is in terrible condition, and should not be open for play. Additional damage is being done to what remains as a result of allowing golfers to play!
Mud everywhere!!
The course was swamped with mud from the creek overflowing. You loose almost every ball because it gets plugged in the ground on the fairway. Half of the course was not a full hole because they had downed trees, flooding and debris everywhere. The cart path was all mud. I honestly don’t even know why they are open. If I had known all this was going on I would have went somewhere else. A waist of money for sure until everything is cleaned up.
